Xtreme Conferences Tennessee Winter Week Illuminated By Bandit Lites

GATLINBURG, TENNESSEE – The snowy mountains of Tennessee made for a beautiful backdrop as scores of students arrived for the Xtreme Winter Conferences, three days of live music, uplifting messages and worship. Bandit Lites supplied the lighting package for the three Gatlinburg sessions, which took place from December 27 through January 2 at the Gatlinburg Convention Center.

More details from Bandit (www.banditlites.com):

Production Manager Jerry Holcomb crafted the lighting for event, where musical performances and speakers included world Christian sensation Newsboys, Grammy-award winning artist Chris Tomlin, Hollyn, NewSong, Tom Richter, 7eventh Time Down, Andy Mineo and Sadie Robertson.

Due to the limited trim height, Holcomb modified previous designs that had featured a floor package, tailoring the rig to fit the exact layout. This design featured audience trussing, loaded with GLP X4, Rogue RH1 Hybrids, 4lite moles and strobes.

“The added trusses work great in bringing the audience into the overall lighting programming,” said Holcomb, “and we are able to use the added moles over the audience for house lights, which was very helpful for involvement with this particular conference.”

Bandit Lites supplied nearly 250 fixtures for the event, including Martin Atomic 3000 Strobes, VL 3500 Washes, GLP X4, GLP X4S, GLP X4 Bar 20, Chauvet Rogue RH1 Hyrbids, and Lycian 1271 Starklites along with a grand MA2 Ultralite for control.

“Kurtis Wheat was at FOH, and Nikki Dotson and Sam Morgan from Bandit were there all week for tech support,” said Holcomb. “All in all, it was a great week of conferences.”

“Working with Jerry is always a pleasure, as his professionalism and attention to detail make every venture a success,” said Bandit’s Business Development Officer, Brent Barrett. “I look forward to every opportunity we have to help make his visions a reality.”
