While the whole world joined Prince and partied like it was 1999–or nervously awaiting the global calamity of the much-feared Y2K meltdown of the world’s computer systems–Timeless Communications President Terry Lowe was busy lining up advertisers and reviewing editorial content for the inaugural February 2000 issue of Pro Lights and Staging News, the precursor to today’s PLSN magazine.

Lowe’s fledgling publishing start-up is now entering its 25th year, and today’s Timeless Communications publications, Projection, Lights & Staging News (PLSN) and FRONT of HOUSE (FOH) have survived the test of time, not to mention economic upheavals and industry shutdowns caused by global pandemics and recessions.

“Thank you for your leadership,” said NAMM President and CEO John Mlynczak to Lowe and other NAMM member companies marking their quarter-century milestones with a brief assembly and photo-op on the morning of January 26 during the NAMM Show at Anaheim Convention Center.

But as Mlynczak noted, with everyone busy and focused on the future, this was not the time to linger on long speeches or to rest on laurels. Moments after the photos were taken, the crowd hastened back out to the show floor to do all the things that would ensure that their companies will be around to mark future milestones in the years, decades, and perhaps even centuries to come.
