Anyone can go to the ParnelliAwards.com site and nominate live event professionals and companies who exemplify the best of the best in our industry for a Parnelli Award, the most prestigious award in our industry.

The Parnelli Nominations Form is here: https://parnelliawards.com/nominate/

The deadline for Parnelli nominations is Dec. 16, 2022, 5 p.m. PST. Nominated companies and individuals — up to six for each category — will appear on the final Parnelli Awards ballot. After the nominations are in, the Parnelli Ballot will be posted in January and voting by PLSN and FRONT of HOUSE subscribers will begin. Remember, anyone can nominate but only PLSN and FOH subscribers can vote! Get your FREE subscription today if you want your vote counted.

Nominations for “Indispensable Technology” (IT) Awards are also open (until Dec. 16, 2022), so be sure to vote on what new audio, lighting, staging, and video product that you believe to be the best of the year. You can nominate products for the IT Awards here: https://parnelliawards.com/it-awards-nominate/

Parnelli Hometown Hero – Lighting Company of the Year Award voting is now under way (until Dec. 16, 2022). PLSN readers get to vote for the six top regional lighting companies in North America—one for each of five U.S. regions, and a sixth for all of Canada. These votes will narrow the field from 36 to six regional winners, who will then appear on the Parnelli Awards ballot for a second round of voting. The winner will receive the Parnelli Award for Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year at the awards ceremony in Anaheim, CA. Be sure to vote for your favorite regional production companies before this opportunity expires. The Parnelli Awards, the live event industry’s highest honor, were founded in 2001 by PLSN/FOH magazine publisher Terry Lowe and production/tour manager Patrick Stansfield. They are named after Rick “Parnelli” O’Brien, an admired tour professional who was lost to cancer in 2000. As a production manager, he was always at the top of his game; as a human being, he personified the “four H’s:” Humanity, Humility, Honesty, and Humor. With this gathering, we remind ourselves of these virtues and hope we can be inspired by the legacy O’Brien left behind.
