GETZVILLE, N.Y.– Columbus McKinnon (NASDAQ: CMCO), a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of material handling products, systems and services, held a grand opening ceremony for its Entertainment Training Center of Excellence at Rock Lititz on March 7, 2018.

Located in Lititz, Pennsylvania, the 12,000 sq. ft. training center is the centerpiece of Columbus McKinnon’s long-term commitment to the entertainment industry, providing hands-on motor, rigging and rope access training to entertainment riggers in an environment custom designed for production professionals.
Guests at the grand opening event included Columbus McKinnon’s entertainment Channel Partners and end users as well as members of the Rock Lititz community and crew members from the touring production team in the Rock Lititz Studio. Members of Columbus McKinnon’s new product development, engineering, sales, training and executive teams were also in attendance, representing the company’s operations in North America, China, Japan and the United Kingdom.
Following a ribbon cutting ceremony, guests learned about the training capabilities of CM-ET, Columbus McKinnon’s entertainment technology division, which include motor and rigging training, along with rope access and fall protection courses. Demos at the event included an overview of the new Prostar VS and its easy-to-use hoist interface; motor automation with Motion Labs; and a climbing demonstration on the new 30’ by 20’ rope access training truss.
They also learned about the company’s new product development activities, such as the recently introduced CM-ET Prostar VS electric chain hoist, http://cm-et.com/ElectricChainMotors/ProstarVS as well as black load chain and motor automation capabilities that are currently under development.
