INFOCOMM CHINA/BEIJING – Christie® will showcase an exciting range of projection, content management and image processing technologies that empower users to create unforgettable experiences at InfoComm China 2020, to be held at the China National Convention Center, September 28-30.
More details from Christie (www.christiedigital.com):
The Christie booth at EA2-01 will feature live demonstrations that inspire new ideas and creativity using 1DLP® and 3DLP® laser projection solutions, content management, image processing and auto calibration technologies. Several highly anticipated products are making their China debut, including the Christie Griffyn 4K32-RGB pure laser projector, and the award-winning MicroTiles® LED. The event will also mark the global launch of Pandoras Box Version 6.5, which combines the latest processing technology for intuitive real-time video processing and show control.
“We are pleased to showcase our latest technological innovations that can bring our customers’ extraordinary visions to life,” said Michael Bosworth, executive vice president, Enterprise, Christie. “Our complete end-to-end quality AV solutions are trusted by many users across different industries who recognize that choosing Christie is an investment in the future.”
The brightest and most lifelike visuals with Christie laser projectors
Among the main attractions is a spectacular 4K projection using two edge-blended Christie D4K40-RGB pure laser projectors that exhibit excellent color, brightness uniformity and control, coupled with low maintenance. This 45,000-lumen all-in-one projector offers stunning visuals that are best-suited for applications such as giant screens, large-scale venues, planetariums and domes.
Making its first appearance in China is the new Christie Griffyn 4K32-RGB laser projector designed for use at theme parks, sports venues, and other large-scale environments that call for both high brightness and the color accuracy of an RGB light source. On the show floor is an operational Griffyn 4K32-RGB fitted with ultra-short throw lens and Christie Guardian, a powerful feature that detects a projector misalignment and automatically calibrates the image in real-time quickly and without interruption, even when content is playing.
Another highlight is a Christie View demonstration using a Christie 3DLP® projector. Titled “One Room, Four Different Worlds”, the projection allows up to four users to view different content on the same screen at the same time. The system displays up to four inputs from a single projector simultaneously, so each user can have a unique experience.
Also on show are static displays of Christie’s 1DLP® and 3DLP® laser-illuminated projectors that deliver exceptional image quality, brightness, versatility, and ease-of-use. They include the GS Series, HS Series and Crimson Series, which are widely deployed in China.
China debut of ultra-lightweight, cabinet-free MicroTiles LED
InfoComm China 2020 will see the debut of Christie MicroTiles LED, which boasts high-brightness, P3 cinema-quality color and fully compliant HDR-10. Presented in an 8-by-4 array with Active 3D capabilities, visitors can enjoy an immersive, flicker-free experience using active shuttered 3D glasses to view content delivered at 120Hz (60Hz per eye). Christie MicroTiles LED Active 3D is designed for users who demand the best in 3D visualization capabilities in applications including aerospace, automotive, military simulation and theme parks.
Powerful content management and auto calibration solutions
The vibrant onscreen visuals showcased at the booth are driven by Christie’s powerful yet versatile content management and auto calibration solutions. These include Christie Pandoras Box media servers, Christie Mystique™ automated camera-based alignment and recalibration solution, and the Christie Terra SDVoE AV-over-IP solution.
A visually-arresting projection mapping demonstration on the iconic Christie wolf head uses two Christie HS Series laser projectors, Christie Pandoras Box and Christie Mystique, which enables users to quickly install, align, calibrate and maintain multi-projector systems. It is ideal for use in themed attractions, domes and large sports venues where maintaining the alignment manually can be a very labor intensive task.
To meet the demand for greater performance to process, play and control higher resolutions and data volumes on multiple displays, Christie will introduce the new Pandoras Box Version 6.5. This latest version, available in October, will enable users to explore new heights of limitless creativity using a new and powerful render engine with features such as 10-bit color depth and HDR renderings.
Customers from around the world have placed their trust in Christie laser projectors and image processing to deliver high performance and reliability for their projects and installations. In China, these include cultural development and tourism venues such as Nianhua Bay light show in Wuxi, Nanxun Old Town, Heze Science and Technology Exhibition Hall, Light and Shadow Cube 3D immersive visualization chamber in Qingdao, and Southeast Flower Paradise in Zhangzhou.
