Marrageddon is the first Italian hip hop music festival which debuted September 23 in Milan at the Ippodromo La Maura. More than 140,000 fans attended this show organized by the artist Marracash, with a second date in Naples. The visual design, created by Ombra Design, the company managed by the creative Lorenzo De Pascalis, was crucial in this event and Gianpaolo Rizzo, MOD’s Technical Manager, supplied a huge size of INFiLED AR 3,9 outdoor video product installing about 1.000 sq/m of LED video panels.
The load-in took about three days and included setting up two 14m x 16 LED walls positioned at the left and the right side of the mega-stage, one central screen, measuring 20×10 meters, along with two 12x6m LED screens, two 5x3m LED screens, and two 4x8m screens. The huge installation involved 23 people, including the staff involved in the editing and content management.
“We are extremely satisfied with the great job done, also because the bad weather played against us given the strong wind and incessant rain,” says De Pascalis. “The INFiLED AR 3.9 Outdoor proved to be an outstanding product that allowed us to stay relaxed despite all the unforeseen events.”
MOD, which supplied the equipment, have used AR 3.9 Outdoor at the Marrageddon for the first time and the satisfaction was not lacking, on the contrary.
“INFiLED exceeded our expectations with this product,” says De Pascalis. “The Director of Photography was also extremely pleased, given the spectacular blacks it offers. It’s a versatile product that adapts to different contexts, from live to TV, guaranteeing flawless results. It’s also a really practical and fast solution on the technical and setting side and we look forward to using it again for future events.”
