Caroline Chauvet accepts the coveted Indispensable Technology award on behalf of the team
ANAHEIM, CA. – It’s been quite a year for the Maverick MK2 Pyxis. The new beam-wash effect from CHAUVET Professional has been popping up on tours for artists ranging from country’s Luke Bryan to EDM’s Louis The Child, and TV programs like MTV’s TRL and NBC’s The Today Show, as well as at a wide range of other applications. On Saturday night at NAMM, the versatile fixture capped off its fast start by winning the Parnelli Award for Indispensable Technology.
More details from Chauvet (www.chauvetprofessional.com):
Accepting the award was Caroline Chauvet, Global Brand Manager of CHAUVET Professional, who recognized the team effort that went into developing the unique fixture, which features a ring of nine 15W RGBW LEDs surrounding a 60W RGBW LED center pixel.
Ford Sellers CHAUVET Professional Senior Product Manager points out that the Maverick MK Pyxis was inspired by interactions with a wide cross section of lighting designers. “We developed this fixture in response to feedback from LDs who were looking for a multipurpose LED light that unleashed creativity,” he said. “With performance features like 360° pan and tilt movement, a 7 to 45 zoom range for its outer ring of LEDs, a 3 beam angle for its center pixel, and a Virtual Color Wheel with instantaneous access to 21 colors, the Maverick MK Pyxis lends itself to creating highly original looks.”
“The entire Chauvet organization is honored to receive the Parnelli recognition.” stated Sellers.
