Fisher and Tipton the Ming Cho Lee Lifetime Achievement in Design Honorees

Legendary lighting designers Jules Fisher and Jennifer Tipton were each honored with the Ming Cho Lee Award for Lifetime Achievement in Design, bestowed by the Henry Hewes Design Awards during the 58th annual awards ceremony on Oct. 24. “In honoring Jules Fisher and Jennifer Tipton,” said Jeffrey Eric Jenkins, chair of the awards committee, “we celebrate two pioneers who have given us so many important dramatic memories—and have lit the way for those who follow.”

Astera Titans for Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival

Astera Titan Tubes provided a great solution for the lighting of a rolling ‘small stage’ scenic truck which was central to the action for the 2022 Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival’s acclaimed production of Alessandro nell’Indie (Alexander in India) by Leonardo Vinci, directed by Max Emmanuel Cancic and lit by David Debrinay from Paris and Lyon, France, based design studio, LJOMA. Robe for Saaremaa Opera Festival 2022

Believed to be the first production in Singapore to feature Claypaky’s Tambora Batten, the revival of The LKY Musical recently concluded its run at the Sands Theatre at the Marina Bay Sands. LD Cory Pattak Employs Ayrton Diablos at Goodspeed Musical’s ‘42nd Street’ Revival

Goodspeed Musicals, a professional musical theater located in a historic Opera House on the banks of the Connecticut River in East Haddam, CT is running a new production of 42nd Street, the tale of the chorus kid who becomes an overnight star that’s filled with a hit parade of songs and dance.
