Actors’ Equity Association Issues Request For Proposal For Name Change And Rebranding Process

Actors’ Equity Association, the national union representing more than 51,000 professional stage managers and actors working in live theatre, recently issued a request for proposal (RFP) to guide stakeholders through a process of determining a potential new name for the union, as well as for implementing a possible name change and rebranding. The Teatro Donizetti is a true institution in the city of Bergamo. It was built in the late 18th century and was originally named Teatro Nuovo (new theatre). It has been the city’s most important opera house for more than two centuries and hosts an extremely intense schedule of plays, operas, and symphonic music. Applications Now Open for the Shubert Organization Internship Program an Introduction to Theatre Careers Beyond the Curtain

The Shubert Organization is now accepting applications for The Shubert Organization 2023 Internship Program. There are available internships in Broadway Theatre Management, Facilities Project Management, Ticketing, Human Resources, and other positions in the organization. The program will run July 10–August 18, 2023. The deadline for applications is March 17, 2023. In Memoriam: Walter Stark, Prop Artisan at Utah Shakespeare Festival

PLSN has learned of the death of Walter Stark, who served as Senior Prop Artisan at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. After a long battle with cancer, Stark passed away at the age of 82. Stark was a senior prop artisan for 10 years, and he was an integral part of the Festival.
