Wendall K. Harrington’s career has embraced many diverse disciplines including theater, publishing and multi-image/video design and production and academia. As a designer of scenic projections her work has been seen extensively on Broadway. This year Harrington is a 2024 Tony Honors Recipient.
Let’s Glow SF is San Francisco’s festival of lights and USA’s largest holiday projection event. For the last edition, A3 Visual worked with Modulo Pi’s media server solutions to illuminate several emblematic sites, including the Pacific Coast Stock Exchange, and Ferry Building.

In this anatomy of the clocktower sequence they, along with Lighting Designer Hugh Vanstone, Illusions Designer Chris Fisher, Sound Designer Gareth Owen, and Director John Rando give a detailed explanation of how they collectively make the sequence work to the amazement of theatergoers.

The stage and lighting design for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will focus on the audience more than ever. With the stage placed in the center of the arena, viewers will experience a visually revolutionary concept. The unique 360-degree experience surrounds the audience and viewers in the Malmö Arena.
The long-running rock band Phish just wrapped up playing four nights at The Sphere in Las Vegas. Working with Co-Creative Directors, Abigail Rosen Holmes and Jean-Baptiste Hardoin on Montreal-based Moment Factory, Phish created four unique shows over the four night run each filled with swirling, immersive imagery on the massive 160,000 square foot LED video walls of the venue. The creative directors worked closely with long-time Lighting Designer, Chris Kuroda and Associate Lighting Designer/Programmer, Andrew Giffin who layered their lighting with the stunning video imagery for an outstanding set of shows.
The PLSN April issue cover story looks at the design and production work on Billy Strings tour, featuring Lighting Designer Roger Gant, principal of RogerThat LLC; the production design, video content, and set extensions from the team at Lüz Studio. They worked with Production Manager Charlie Bryson, and VJ Tyler “TAJ” Givens, all of whose efforts combined to add depth and scale to the visual impact of the tour. Here is a glimpse of the tour.
