WAYNE, NJ – JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, will demonstrate its new JVC VIDEOCLOUD online video and live streaming platform, new fiber studio system for its GY-HM890 ProHD cameras, and a number of other products and services at the Government Video Expo 2016 (Booth 102), which runs Dec. 7-8 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

NEW YORK – Thousands turned out despite heavy rain to witness the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting on Nov. 30, 2016. To provide the crowds with a better view of performances, Upstage Video provided six big LED screens. The artist lineup included Tori Kelly, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, The Roots and Anthony Hamilton, Josh Groban, Tony Bennett, Sarah McLachlan, Dolly Parton, Pentatonix, Jordan Smith, Neil Diamond and the Radio City Rockettes.

GMA Dove Awards for Christian Music Get Video Assist from Elite Multimedia

NASHVILLE – Since 1970, the GMA Dove Awards has honored excellence in the Christian Music industry. At the 47th Annual GMA Dove Awards, event producer and production designer Scott DeVos of DeLux Productions was brought on board to help accentuate that diversity. Wanting LED video to play an integral role in the design, DeVos needed a provider with a myriad of technologies to fill the design, so he reached out to Nashville-based Elite Multimedia. Elite Multimedia supplied him with PixelFLEX LED video walls for the production design.

However, thanks to the input of AV expert Charles Lawing, a last-minute change of plans led to a much more flexible finished project.

CINCINNATI –  – The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) chose ArKaos MediaMaster PRO to drive the visual content for its production of Green Day’s American Idiot. MediaMaster PRO was chosen for the ease with which it handled the demanding artistic concept, its speed of mapping and its easy-to-understand processes for editing content and operation. The ArKaos software was supplied by IED, whose Principal Partner, Jeffrey Brown, is also adjunct instructor for Theater/Event Media and Video at CCM.

Soaring over 1,000 feet above the city’s financial district with a panoramic, 360-degree view stretching to the Catalina Islands, the iconic tower, the tallest building west of the Mississippi, also features the famous outdoor Skyslide for the more adventurous.

SAN FRANCISCO – The much talked about Made by Google press event in San Francisco on October 4th unveiled the Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones and other hardware initiatives developed by the tech giant.  The event was produced by Brooklyn-based MAS Events + Design with AV support from WorldStage, who was tasked with providing an AV solution for the venue, which is typically not used as an event space.

China’s ‘Encore Dunhuang’ Travels Through Time with Support from d3 Technologies

DUNHUANG, China — The immersive Chinese theater piece, ‘Encore Dunhuang,’ recently debuted at the first Silk Road Dunhuang International Cultural Expo. The long-awaited show was directed by one of China’s most famous directors, Wang Chaoge, who was the co-director of the opening ceremony at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. The production, staged in The Aqua Blue Theatre in Dunhuang, China, made use of d3 media servers.
