ATLANTA, GEORGIA, – With the 2016 hurricane season now mercifully behind us, the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Florida can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their recently-installed NanoLumens Outdoor Gallery Series LED displays withstood the challenges of a hurricane season that produced six hurricanes and nine tropical storms. Two of the 2016 season’s hurricanes, Hermine and Matthew, directly impacted Florida and caused heavy winds, rain and millions of dollars in damages.

SHANHAI – Chinese cosmetic brand Marie Dalgar held its 7th annual crossover art exhibition, “Through Your Eyes,” in Shanghai where d3 media servers and 3D video mapping immersed visitors in a colorful, exotic city. This year, Marie Dalgar teamed up with French makeup artist Damien Dufresne on a show inspired by company founder Cui Xiaohong’s trip to Morocco.

NASHVILLE, – Similar to many worship families across the United States, the congregation at the First Baptist Church in Thomasville, Georgia, recently underwent a sanctuary renovation to offer both contemporary and traditional worship services. Working with Thomasville’s S&L Integrated on a complete audio, lighting and LED video renovation, the church wanted to make sure that while the technical systems received an update, the traditional aesthetics of the sanctuary were not affected.

ANGER, Germany – Hans-Peter Porsche TraumWerk, which is located in the Berchtesgaden countryside, has been welcoming toy fans and model railway enthusiasts with the company’s 5,500 square meter exhibit featuring historical tin toys, steam engines, automotive rarities and a 21st century model railway. This year, the attraction is getting a visual assist with Christie Pandoras Box media servers.

FREMONT, CA – Blackmagic Design today announced that Illinois production company Upstaging Inc. built a complete IMAG and AV production using the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K and a large number of other Blackmagic Design products during this year’s sold out Weezer and Panic! At the Disco summer concert tour. Included in the workflow were four Teranex Expresses and 24 Teranex Minis used throughout each venue to convert various camera signals.

RUSSIA – The All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) is currently undergoing the Russian Government program of regional TV infrastructure modernization. This has been an ongoing process over the last eight years. In 2013, the leading system integrator in the Russian Federation ‘OKNO-TV’ was involved in the system design of a local news studio production facility, which included the newsroom computer system, RCS and MAM, the Central Switching Room and the Regional Channel Continuity Suite.

NEW YORK — Fresh Air Flicks founder/owner Glen Sanders spotted the trend of outdoor cinema early on as it gained traction in Brooklyn and other hip communities. Starting out in 2004, Sanders and Fresh Air Flicks were providing giant inflatable screens for events like “Movies with a View” that would bring as many as 8,000 people out for an evening to watch films in the park beneath the Brooklyn Bridge. As demand grew for that kind of recreation during the longer daylight hours of summer, Sanders upped his game.

LONDON – LeadDog Marketing Grouo recently appointed event technologist FIX8Group to manage, design and deliver the visual and digital technology for a boutique experiential installation in both Paris and London on behalf of Lenovo. Conceived and led by LeadDog, the tech installation was built around a facsimile of a digitally enhanced underground train that featured an interactive LED floor, wall mounted touch screen technology and LED lit ceilings and walls.

FREMONT, CA – American indie folk band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes performed as part of the recent “Sound in Focus” event in LA. Blackmagic Design announced that Santa Monica production company Subtractive Inc. used ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K, ATEM 1 M/E Broadcast Panel and HyperDeck Studio 12G broadcast recorders as part of a live streaming and IMAG setup for a recent Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros concert at Century Park in Los Angeles.

LODZ, Poland – Hewlett Packard Enterprise gathered together its partners and distributors for the HPE Congress Partners Seminar in Łódź, Poland. Polymus Agency, in charge of organizing the event, entrusted the audiovisual design of the venue to PRO4MEDIA, a prominent service provider for AV technology. PRO4MEDIA chose Analog Way solutions  for this project because of the flexibility of the systems.
