LONDON – For his Dec. 2 sold-out homecoming show at London’s Alexandra Palace, Skepta, a.k.a. Joseph Junior Adenuga, brought his brand of grime music – think U.K. Hip-Hop – to a crowd of 10,000. VER provide a video and lighting assist that included a 23-by-seven-meter upstage LED wall made from 600+ LED tiles.

Emirate Ras Al Khaimah’s National Day Show Visuals Rely on Avolites Ai Media Servers

RAS AL-KHAIMAH, UAE — Every year on Dec. 2, the UAE celebrates National Day. At Ras al-Khaimah, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, Dubai-based Lighthouse Productions provided a visual assist for the FakhrakYaWatan (The Pride of the Nation) event, where some 800 singers, dancers and actors perform 15 different acts on an 88-by-12-meter stage. To handle 18 million pixels of custom video and graphic content, Lighthouse Productions used three Avolites Ai T Series media servers.

AMSTERDAM – Digital Projection, a manufacturer of digital imaging solutions and leader in the field of solid state laser projection, will be exhibiting at ISE to stand F44 in Hall 1 where four new solid-state laser projection systems will be launched at the event. It runs from Feb. 7-10 at RAI Amsterdam.

Shooting Inside A Mini Cooper With RoscoLED Tape

TORONTO – Cinematographer Christopher Lew recently shot a spec ad for Mini Cooper. The ad called for an overnight, all exterior location shoot of different colored Mini Coopers driving through the Toronto city streets. Because it was shot at night and the Mini Cooper is an ultra-compact car – Chris needed an ultra-compact lighting kit. The RoscoLED Tape Pro Gaffer Kit was his solution.
