LONDON – d3 plays a key role in the complex and dynamic visuals showcased on the world tour for Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter and record producer, The Weeknd.  “Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour” is the sixth tour by The Weeknd; it supports his “Starboy” album released last fall.  The tour, which has already covered Europe, South America, North America and Canada, will wrap up back in Europe this summer.

MELBOURNE, Au. – The Australian TV industry’s biggest night, the 59th annual Logie Awards, were held at Melbourne’s Crown Palladium on Sunday 23 April 2017, broadcast live on the Nine Network. Always a great opportunity for the broadcaster to show off its tech capabilities, fantastic visuals were spread across three huge screens onstage, a wrap-around screen surrounding the audience, and pixel mapped to onstage fixtures and LED chandeliers. Helming the media server and console operation was Lynden Gare, director of Melbourne-based lighting and production company Colourblind, who relied on Green Hippo’s Hippotizer Media Servers.

LONDON, UK,– Kiev delivered on its promise to present an awesome show and Green Hippo technology was key to the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest looking better than ever. Bringing together a crack team of skilled practitioners – this year’s Green Hippo Eurovision team’s video production heavily featured in the visual design of the show. Highlights included a large LED wall behind the stage, LED floor, Pixel-mapped lights and a projection-mapped arch over the stage. To help ensure the polished performance the MA2 and time code-driven set-up used a total 16 Green Hippo Boreal touring Media Servers, all running Hippotizer V4.2.1 software.

Martin by HARMAN Brings a Modern Look to the Return of Love Connection on Fox Television

LOS ANGELES—Lighting Director Matt Firestone recently installed 30 Martin VDO Sceptron LED video fixtures on the set of Love Connection, the classic 1980s-era game show which will return to television in May 2017. Airing on Fox and hosted by Andy Cohen, the reboot will feature the same familiar game format, with a completely modernized set design. Firestone used the VDO Sceptrons to create a dynamic background during specific shots when both the contestant and the host are on screen.

HELSINKI, – Finish singing sensation Saara Aalto – aka the Snow Fairy – played a sold-out homecoming gig at Helsinki’s Hartwall arena and Green Hippo technology ensured a great view for all. Saara, who shot to fame in the UK through her runner’s up spot in 2016’s X Factor, is a firm favorite in Finland, having appeared in Finland’s Got Talent 2007 and The Voice of Finland in 2012. Bright Finland, the Finland and Scandinavia-based experience provider, was at the helm for Saara’s 360° screen show employing a Green Hippo Hippotizer Boreal to control six iMAG screens.
