F&F Productions Selects 17 Fujinon 4k UHD Lenses To Outfit Company’s First 4k Mobile Unit

WAYNE, N.J. – For the company’s first 4K mobile unit, F&F Productions, LLC, chose 17 FUJINON 4K UHD lenses to outfit the Sony HDC-4300 4K cameras systems on board the newest member of its fleet, the GTX-18 4K HDR Mobile Unit. The new unit will have eight UA107x8.4BESM 4K studio lenses, five UA18x5.5BERD 4K portable zooms, three UA14x4.5BERD 4K portable zooms, and one UA22x8BERD 4K portable lenses.

Tiziano Ferro Tours Italy with Video Support from d3 Technologies

ROME – Italian singer/songwriter Tiziano Ferro’s “Il Mestiere Della Vita” stadium tour is attracting sell-out crowds this summer, following the release of his eponymous sixth studio album late last year. Known as the modern face of Italian pop music, Ferro is drawing over 50,000 fans to the 12 dates on his second stadium tour across Italy.

UK –  Two Avolites Ai R6 media servers and an Arena lighting console running the latest Ai and Titan software were chosen to control the high-energy light and video package for the design relaunch of Glastonbury’s iconic dance stage, The Temple. The British media server and lighting controls manufacturer was called in for the third year running by Alan King of Rockin Horse – technical coordinator and production supplier for Block 9 and The Common – who designed and sourced lighting and lasers for The Temple, whilst also keeping an overview on video production.

NEW YORK– Having delighted generations of young readers and moviegoers, Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory opened on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre with a new take on the classic children’s tale for theater audiences of all ages. Buffalo, NY’s Curtiss Hotel Uses Eiki Projection on Building’s Exterior

BUFFALO, NY – The Curtiss Hotel turned to Veraview LLC for a digital signage solution that would not run afoul of city regulations against the use of LED signage. Varaview’s solution is to project directly onto the building’s exterior using an Eiki EK-800U 12,000 Lumens / WUXGA / 1-chip DLP large venue projector outdoors at the edge of the property atop a 40-foot light pole.

Vibrant projections on the massive sand table, curved screen and ceiling of the exhibition room using Christie M Series and Roadie Series projectors.

Dataton and Epson Team Up for Projection Mapping Competition

CUSCO, Peru – Epson Projectors and Dataton teamed up to back the Latin American Mapping Challenge, an event where mapping artists showcase their art on eight iconic buildings in Latin America. The challenge, open for entries from Latin America, the US and Canada, launched with a show in Cusco, Peru in June. Mapping enthusiasts have until July 29 to submit their designs. Judging takes place in early August with the winning contributions presented on the eight landmark buildings from August 2017 to March 2018.

The production crew used gear including ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K, Smart Videohub routers and a series of Teranex AV standards and frame rate converters from Blackmagic Design.

BigCityBeats World Club Dome Experience Delivered By Blackmagic Design Live Production Workflow

FRANKFURT, Germany – The BigCityBeats World Club Dome, a major EDM event held May 31-June 3, 2017, included a multi camera live production PPU solution built around the ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K, Smart Videohub routers and a series of Teranex AV standards and frame rate converters from Blackmagic Design. The event took place at Frankfurt’s Commerzbank Arena and featured more than 20 stages over a 700,000 square meter outdoor area. The event featured top international DJs and VJ artists performing to a backdrop of pyrotechnic and video displays.

LONDON  – “Game of Thrones” fans were given another outlet for their favorite show when the “Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience” played a 24-date arena tour across North America.  The tour featured the show’s composer, Ramin Djawadi, conducting an 35-piece orchestra and choirs performing highlights from the score.  The 360º stage was rich in visuals and dynamic movement; d3 media servers tracked automation and drove the display of video content from six seasons of HBO’s epic fantasy series.
