FREMONT, CA – Blackmagic Design today announced that Grammy-nominated American rock band Fall Out Boy’s worldwide MANIA tour is using a complete Blackmagic Design live production workflow for IMAG and AV. Blackmagic Design’s Micro Studio Camera 4Ks and Teranex AV standards converters are being used for image capture and signal conversion on the tour, along with several other products, including an ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K live production switcher, MultiView 16 monitor, Smart Videohub 40×40 and Smart Videohub CleanSwitch 12×12 routers.

The Marina Bay Sands Singapore was already a stunning looking structure. Steve Nield was the creative tasked with designing an outdoor laser, light, projection and water show with the visuals to complement the Aedas-designed S$8 billion property.

ATLANTA – NovaStar held its NovaWorld Tour Atlanta 2017 Event at Georgia Aquarium on Nov. 30. The company said the event was a success and thanked all who were able to attend. CORRALES, NM – For the Exploring Pueblo Pottery Project, an experimental installation in associated with the Pueblo of Acoma west of Albuquerque, NM, interactive exhibit designers Ideum teamed up with Christie to make use of Pandoras Box technologies for the project, where images are projected onto the curved surfaces of oversized pottery-shaped displays.

SUSSEX, ENGLAND — — Media serving and display technology experts, 7thSense Design, delivered updated video technology for the 2017 production of the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, presented by Chase. The full system technology upgrade has transformed the world’s largest proscenium theatre and has enabled video content to be displayed on all eight of the venue’s iconic proscenium arches. 7thSense has provided video systems for Radio City since 2011.

JAPAN  – Japanese folk-rock duo Yuzu are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a tour across Japan.  The band’s unique stage show features a huge back wall of LED screens of assorted sizes and shapes and a giant sculptural Yuzutaro LED – an anthropomorphic character whose head is fashioned from the Japanese citrus fruit called yuzu.  disguise (formerly known as d3) 4x4pro media servers were chosen to unify the different feeds needed to push content to the LED back wall, the sculptural Yuzutaro LED plus the stage riser LED.

LAS VEGAS – Blackmagic Design noted that its Teranex AV was used for signal conversions on American pop rock band Train’s “Play That Song” summer tour. The tour began in May in Las Vegas and ran through mid-July before heading to Europe and the UK, wrapping up Oct. 25 in Northern Ireland.
