Trevor LIVE Supported by Video Applications Inc.

TUSTIN, CA – For the third year in a row, Video Applications Inc. (VAI) has supported Trevor LIVE, an annual event sponsored by The Trevor Project, the leading national organization focused on crisis intervention and suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ youth. Held at the Hollywood Palladium, the ready-for-primetime show honored Kathy Griffin and featured guest performances by Sarah Silverman, Wayne Brady, Neil Patrick Harris and Queen Latifah. The special guest producing director was Adam Shankman.

Video at 83rd Annual Academy Awards Supported by 34 Hippotizer HDs

LOS ANGELES – For visuals that ranged from vintage scenery and film clips to futuristic time travel, the video production crew for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards (the Oscars) used 34 Hippotizer HDs and a total of 53 discrete active outputs. Hippotizer's UberPan multiple display software component controlled video feeds for over 70 projectors.

Rural Church’s New AV System Includes HD Vaddio Gear

PAYNESVILLE, MN – Intermedia Systems Group provided a complete AV system for Grace United Methodist Church that included high definition video displays, a Vaddio HD PTZ remotely controlled camera system and a digital audio system to back it all up.

Gearhouse South Africa Puts Christie MicroTiles To Use

JOHANNESBURG – Gearhouse South Africa's AV division has stocked up with an order for 100 of Christie Digital's MicroTiles. Operations manager Bhans Sheomangal credited the tiles for ease-of-use, reliability and versatility. The tiles, made with DLP technology, were purchased via Christie South Africa. When all used together as one surface, the 100 MicroTiles cover a 4 by 3 meter area.

Broadway-Bound “Bus” Lit with Nearly 30,000 LEDs

NEW YORK – In Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, which opens on Broadway for previews Feb. 28, 2011, the musical's visual focal point is the show's namesake: a roving set piece done up as a tour bus, emblazoned with Traxon Technologie's String RGB fixtures – nearly 30,000 LEDs in all.

Computer History Museum Equipped with Furman Gear

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – The exhibit technology team at Bowen Technovation chose Furman's P-8 PRO II and AC-215A power conditioners to protect sensitive components in the control room equipment racks at the Computer History Musuem, used for flat-panel displays, touch screens and projectors throughout the museum's multimedia exhibits.
