Wallingford, CT – Acey Decy Lighting, a sales and rental company in San Fernando, has added Robert Juliat 1159 Victor and 1459 Flo 1800W followspots to its rental inventory. The fixtures are especially useful for the feature film and television industries, which Acey Decy has been servicing since 1963.

MOSCOW, Russia – The Museum of Moscow Railways completed a renovation, including all A/V systems, which were installed by Russian company a3vision. Alcorn McBride products feature heavily in the project, including a Digital Binloop and two Digital Video Machine HD video players.

Electrosonic, Scharff Weisberg Support AV at Expanded Museum of the Moving Image

ASTORIA, NY — Working with designer Josh Weisberg of Scharff Weisberg, Electrosonic provide an AV installation for the Museum of the Moving Image that included a 50-by-9-foot projected video mural for a seven-minute video art piece, City Glow (2005) by Chiho Aoshima in collaboration with animator Bruce Ferguson. The upgrades are part of a three-year, $67-million remodel and expansion.

NEW YORK — Scharff Weisberg worked with Cigar Box Studios on the video portion of the lozenge-shaped glass installation dubbed the “Delta Diamond.” It’s located between Delta Terminals 2 and 3 at JFK International Airport. Scharff Weisberg also provided the video playback and control solution for the feature.

DPI Announces Fall 2011 Road Show Dates

ATLANTA — Digital Projection International (DPI), together with display manufacturer Delta Group and software developer Mersive, announced a multi-city “Displays at Your Doorstep” road show with the following cities/dates confirmed: New York (Oct. 11-12) Orlando (Oct. 18-19), Washington, DC (Oct. 25-26), Atlanta (Nov. 2-3), Dallas (Nov. 9-10) and Los Angeles (Nov. 15-16). The events will demonstrate a variety of display technologies for commercial AV integrators.

Chaos Visual Productions Provides Video Gear for Josh Groban Tour

LOS ANGELES — Chaos Visual Productions provided video support for the North American leg of Josh Groban’s 2011 Straight to You Tour in the form of four double stacks of 20K projectors projecting seamless, edge-blended imagery onto an 80-by-30-foot screen. The North American tour, with dates in North America from May 12 to Labor Day, will resume in October after making several stops in Europe. Peter Mensch, Cliff Burnstein and Tony Dicioccio of Q Prime-NYC are the tour managers.

DETROIT LAKES, MN – The annual three-day WE Fest country music festival roped in more than 48,000 music fans with a lineup ranging from Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson and Lynyrd Skynard to Brad Paisley and Lost Highway. Upstage Video helped bring the artists closer to the fans with HD LED video screens from Daktronics.
