Progressive Georgia Schools Get AV Upgrade from dB Audio & Video

GAINESVILLE, GA — The Da Vinci Academy and the Academies of Discovery, two schools noted for a progressive approach to education, share the same building in this Atlanta suburb. dB Audio & Video provided an upgrade for the AV system. The system includes a video wall composed of Samsung’s ultra-thin bezel UD55A HDTV system in a black box-type theatre; an all-LED Elation EAR495 theatrical lighting system; and, for the classroom, a 65-inch Samsung ME65B with touch screen overlay and two “input stations,” one for the student and one at the teacher’s desk.

BURBANK, CA – Chaos Visual Productions is supplying Fleetwood Mac’s 2013 Live tour, which continues into Europe this summer. Production designer, Paul “Arlo” Guthrie of Minneapolis-based Toss Film + Design works with tour manager Marty Hom and road manager Allan Tate to execute Fleetwood Mac’s first tour since 2009.

NanoLumens Creates Full-Color NYC Stock Ticker

NEW YORK CITY – Recently, a midtown Manhattan branch of a major financial institution set a new standard for information displays with the unveiling of the city’s first NanoLumens-powered stock ticker. The full-color, 3-foot tall by 60-foot long L-shaped LED display is one of New York’s most dynamic, vibrant and unique stock tickers, according to Bill Shiverick of Atlanta-based Vertical AVTV, the AV integrator who recommended and installed the display.

Electrosonic Supplies Cleveland’s Eaton Experience Center

CLEVELAND – Electrosonic was charged with designing the AV systems, media control and power management for Cleveland’s Eaton Experience Center, which combines art and information. The centerpiece of the atrium is a five-story chandelier comprised of Traxon custom Mesh RGB LED wrapped into a cylinder 53 feet tall by 12 feet in diameter. The LED mesh combines a woven stainless steel mesh grid with individually-addressable LEDs to form a canvas for vivid, large-scale media. The chandelier can display specific media on a predetermined timeline or media for a particular show via a Medialon show controller.

Philips Arena Welcomes Spyder in the House

ATLANTA – Vista Systems’ Spyder X20 is feeding twin Mitsubishi Diamond Vision systems in Atlanta’s Philips Arena. The Mitsubishi Diamond Vision systems, which measure 100 feet long and 12 feet high, are mounted at each end of the arena and display statistics, replays, video footage, graphics and advertising.
