British Soccer Museum Uses Dataton Watchout for Visuals

MANCHESTER, U.K. — The National Football Museum here, which reopened after a technical upgrade in mid-2012, now features an AV introduction to how soccer became “the people’s game” in England. Systems integrator D J Willrich (DJW) relied upon Dataton Watchout software to manage and coordinate the museum’s visuals, including the 15.9-meter curved screen pictured here.

“David Bowie is” Video Displays Powered by Dataton Watchout

TORONTO — The David Bowie is exhibition, which drew crowds to the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London after opening in March 2013, moves to the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) here from Sept. 25 to Nov. 27, 2013. The exhibition includes video display technologies that included the use of Dataton’s Watchout.

Million Second Quiz Counts on Pete’s Big TVs

NEW YORK – Video equipment rental company Pete’s Big TVs is supplying the set of NBC’s new prime time interactive TV game show, The Million Second Quiz, with a multitude of broadcast-quality video screens, flexible digital signage, monitors and a video crew. Premiering Sept. 9, the show clock runs the competition for one million seconds nonstop until Sept. 19.

SAN BERNARDINO, CA — AV Concepts, which helped bring Tupac Shakur back as a holographic illusion at Coachella 2012, is supporting the virtual performances of other late rappers for the 2013 Rock the Bells series of hip-hop shows this fall, including performing likenesses of Eazy-E and Ol’ Dirty Baster (ODB) for shows here (San Manuel Amphitheatre, Sept. 7-8), in San Francisco (Shoreline Amphitheatre, Sept. 14-15).

The Reef Hotel Brings Tropics to Denmark via Dataton Watchout

FREDERIKSHAVN, Denmark — The Reef Hotel & Resort is giving its Scandinavian clientele a shortcut to the tropics with an immersion into warm-weather visuals, sounds and scents. Mediatec Solutions Sweden AB provided all audio, video, lighting and control including Watchout multi-image display and presentation software, and Stylt Trampoli AB provided the virtual tropical content.

Panasonic, Branded Cities and ABC RSES Updating Times Square LED Displays

NEW YORK — Branded Cities Network, Panasonic Eco Solutions North America and ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales have teamed up in an effort to improve the already-impressive LED displays in NYC’s Times Square. The 10,800 square foot display at the seven-story NASDAQ MarketSite Tower at Broadway and 43rd Street, first equipped with LED visuals in 1999, will be updated with higher-resolution LED gear.
