ATLANTA, GA — XL Video’s brand new Hybrid 18mm LED screen made its touring debut on the recent UK leg of Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon Days” tour, where it was specified by Lighting and Visuals Designer Cate Carter of Bryte Design and integrated into her vibrant production design for the tour.

FRANKFURT — CT (Creative Technology) noted that its new CT Glux Carbon 10 LED System has already been deployed at a number of major events in Europe, including the Audi booth at the Frankfurt IAA car show and at two major concert events in The Netherlands, both at the Arnhem GelreDome — a concert for Dutch duo Nick & Simon and another concert event, Symphonica in Rosso, which featured singer Dutch songstress Anouk. Smaller systems have also been deployed on TV series in the UK and Germany and on The Arctic Monkey’s tour. The product will also be used at the Dubai Airshow set for later this month.

ABBOTS RIPTON, U.K. — For U.K.’s Secret Garden Party, a multi-stage event held here July 25-28 that drew 30,000 to see headliners including Faithless, 2ManyDJs, and The Ladykillers, Immersive’s Ralph Lambert oversaw a visual design that included multiple I-Mag cameras feeding through to multiple screens simultaneously along with custom-created content. AI servers from Avolites Media played a key role.

NEP Screenworks Provides Video Display for Dave Matthews Band Tour

For Dave Matthews Band 2013 summer tour, NEP Screenworks designed, built, installed and operated a custom video display that wrapped and curved the entire upstage of the band.  The video display was 22 feet tall and 62 feet wide, had a 120 degree curve and used customized curve mounting and mechanism. Driving the video wall as a Hippotizer HD with custom content and I-mag provided by Filament Productions.

Billboard Latin Music Awards Relied on Avolites Ai for Video Mapping

MIAMI — Video mapping, projection and LED screens used for the Billboard Latin Music Awards here earlier this year were handled by two Avolites Media Ai Infinity 8 Servers and one Ai T8 server. The event was broadcast to 30 million viewers. Avolites Media Developer Ciaran Abrams worked closely with US-based lighting design and media presentation company DMDS7UDIOS on the 2013 Awards, held April 25 at the 7,972-seat BankUnited Center.

(EA) once again impressed videogame fans and media at “The Download: EA 2013 Preview,” the game publisher’s annual press event held during the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.  WorldStage returned for the sixth consecutive year to provide AV support for the event, which looked at upcoming titles via live demos, world premiere trailers and breaking news.

Pukkelpop 2013 Featured 3D Overhead Video Wall, ArKaos Control

BRUSSELS, BE — Pukkelpop 2013, which drew 60,000 with headliners including Eminem, The Prodigy and Nine Inch Nails, featured an opening night party in the 30,000 capacity Boiler Room. The main visual attractions was a 3D overhead video wall with pixel mapped content driven by an ArKaos Stage server. The ceiling effects were the idea of Belgian design company, Arf & Yes, brought to life by their lighting designers, Philippe Vanderheeren and Ignace D’haese using 3-dimensional video animation.

ARGYLE, TX — GoVision has added 5mm Indoor LED panels to its rental inventory.  The new panels promise to be well suited to applications requiring high quality video seen from as little as three feet away without a loss of clarity. XL Video Supports Unity Memorial Concert for Hate Crime Victim in U.K.

LONDON – Unity – A Concert for Stephen Lawrence, staged at the O2 Arena to mark the 20th anniversary of the teen’s death in what has been deemed to be a racially motivated hate crime, featured performances by Rita Ora, Jessie J, Emeli Sande, Beverley Knight,  Tinie Tempah and Plan B, among others.  Hosted by Nick Grimshaw and Reggie Yates, the event was produced by AEG Live and featured video support from XL Video.
