American Bible Society Atrium Gets AV Update

NEW YORK — Velocity Productions worked with Barco on a project that provided an AV update for the atrium at the American Bible Society’s location near Columbus Circle at Broadway and 61st street. The project included the installation of 22 OverView NSL-4621 LCD displays.

ERLANGER, KY — tvONE, a manufacturer of video and multimedia processing equipment based here, noted that its CORIOmaster mini will be an integral part of a “Real-Time Video Windmill” to be featured at ISE 2014 in Amsterdam Feb. 4-6. It consists of a rotating array of four 46″ flat panel displays showing video that maintains a stable horizon even as the displays rotate 360° in real-time.

XL Video Places $15M Order for LED Products from China

LOS ANGELES — XL Video is spending more than $15 million for a range of new LED products from Chinese suppliers, including Shenzhen-based Unilumin Group Co and its subsidiary Radiant Opto-Elec Technology Co Ltd. The purchase — a record for the company — includes more than 1,200 square meters (12,917 square feet) of LED products that will be available for rent starting in Feb. 2014.

MIAMI — The multi-city Life In Color tour, billed as “the world’s largest paint party,” has featured EDM standouts including Calvin Harris, R3hab and Steve Aoki, along with such attractions as zip lines, carnival rides, dancing robots and an intensely bright light show. The tour also features video imagery on MVP 18 LED panels from Chauvet Professional.

MoMA Exhibition Relies on Christie Digital Projectors

NEW YORK — For the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)’s moving image exhibition, Isaac Julien: Ten Thousand Waves, Michael Andrews Audio Visual Services (MAAVS) provided eight Christie WU14K-M WUXGA DLP projectors and one Christie HD14K-M 1080 HD DLP projector. The installation is in MoMA’s Donald B. and Catherine C. Marron Atrium.
