Barco Projectors Create Immersive Visuals at Vancouver Aquarium

VANCOUVER, BC — An ambitious, multi-million dollar upgrade to the Vancouver Aquarium here includes “Connections 360,” which wraps visitors in an immersive HD projection environment in the aquarium’s Teck Communications Gallery. The exhibit’s 185-plus-foot-wide screen visuals come from seven Barco HDX-W20 FLEX large-venue projectors supplied by Barco distributor SC Media.

KANSAS CITY, MO — Although songs like “Text Me in the Morning” speak to the quirks of romance in the digital age,  the design for Neon Trees’ current tour, in support of their April 2014 Pop Psychology album release, started with a low-tech napkin sketch by frontman Tyler Glenn.  Production Manager Mike Bangs relied upon four 8-by-4 foot panels of PixelFLEX FLEXCurtain to help bring Glenn’s sketch to colorful fruition.

ALLEN, TX — The 1,400-capacity sanctuary at First Baptist Church, based here, has added atmospheric effects along with song lyrics for church productions and youth events with an assist from three Hitachi CP-X8170 projectors. Jeff Mize, the church’s minister of music, worked with Camron Ware of Visual Worshiper on the visual upgrade.

LONDON – For “Meet the Future,” an event bringing members of the meetings industry to Central Hall Westminster (CHW) here on on June 3, Eclipse Presentations provided all the production infrastructure to facilitate the event. Among the the technologies highlighted was technology that enables high end videoconferencing with a “holographic” look. This was demonstrated firsthand by an interview with Dr. Paul Redmond, who had his image beamed into the room. In the interview, he elaborated on his research into the future of working with ‘Generation Y’.

Projection Studio Helps Project Vodafone First Events at Sites Across Europe

LONDON – The Projection Studio worked as a consultant for live communications agency Wasserman to activate a large format video projection campaign for the Vodafone Firsts initiative (www.firsts.com) that took place at sites across Europe, including Budapest Sapientia College, Bucharest National Theatre, Berlin Kulturbrauerei, Cairo CityStars Building, Rome Palazzo Farnese and The National Theatre in London.

NASHVILLE, TN — Embarking on his 25th year of being in the music business, Alan Jackson recently took to his 2014 tour, taking PixelFLEX with him for the first time. Over the course of more than 40 tour dates this year, Jackson plays for a variety of venues and audiences across North America. In order to keep the standard of emotional and relatable shows, the PixelFLEX FLEXCurtain was added to the production in order to make the entire process more flexible.
