Colombia’s Proexport Event at Metropolitan Pavilion Gets AV Assist from WorldStage
NEW YORK – WorldStage provided audio, video and lighting support to an event staged at the Metropolitan Pavilion here by Proexport, to promote business between companies based in Colombia, South America and the U.S. event at the in New York. For the space called The Gallery, multiple projectors were used to overcome the challenges of limited ceiling height and exposed ductwork. “[We] decided the best course of action would be to utilize Panasonic’s ET-DLE030 Ultra Short Throw Lens in combination with Panasonic PT-DZ870ULK 8500-lumen projectors,” said said WorldStage project manager Frank Mejia. “We were able to project a 12’ wide image from just 4’ away from the screen,” he added, noting the use of “multiple projectors in an edge-blend configuration to cover the entire 52’ of image width.”

OneRepublic Tours with Elation EVLED 20 LED Panels
MORRISON, CO – Elation Professional’s EVLED 20 LED panels played a key role on OneRepublic’s Native tour, forming a focal point of the show’s unique diamond-shaped set look. The EVLED panels are located upstage behind the band and remain static during the show. LD Chris Lisle explains: “The overall look of the show is comprised of diamonds, and the center focus is three diamond-shaped video panels made up of Elation EVLED 20s that slightly overlap each other. There are a few tiles of each screen strategically removed to create a unique look.”

LMG Touring Supports Childish Gambino’s Web of Visuals
LMG Touring provided lighting and video gear for Donald Glover, a.k.a. Childish Gambino, who has been touring in support of his second album, Because the Internet, released last December. Along with a full lighting rig, LMG provided Barco 18K Projectors and AI Media Servers. The video gear supported custom content created by Moment Factory. The different projection surfaces included a back screen, two columns, front scrim or Kabuki, riser surfaces, and stage props. The tour provided the audience with animated sequences that took them on a ride through the Internet.
Creative Technology Provides Video for Wimbledon
LONDON – For this year’s Wimbledon Championships, Creative Technology provided nine new Electronic Information Displays on the front façade of Centre Court and various other strategic locations around the facility. The purpose-built housings will remain in place on a permanent basis while the AOTO M8C display technology is installed and removed on an annual basis. All displays are controlled from a central location via a dedicated fibre network. Creative Technology was also involved in the production facility located within the broadcast centre which feeds live content, highlights packages and other entertainment to the large screen and other locations.

Nanjing Youth Olympic Games Visuals Get Barco/High End Support

Pete’s Big TVs Supports Primetime Emmy Awards
LOS ANGELES – The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards Show is billed as “television’s biggest night,” and Pete’s Big TVs was there for the first time to support the event, which was hosted by Seth Meyers. Pete’s Big TVs provided nearly 500 of their CS5 5mm LED tiles, two Barco HD-W26 projectors (double-stacked at the FOH) and their crew to fulfill the set requirements of production designer Keith Raywood.
