LEEDS, UK – Omni Pictures used d3 for the first time on its Theatre of Illumination light show, a white light projection mapping of Leed’s iconic Civic Hall. “d3 really came into it’s own in the mapping for me: the fine tuning and edge blending between all the sources was superb. We had a limited amount of time to get setup, only one night before, and without d3 I don’t think we could have realized it,” said director Will Simpson.
SPICELAND, IN – Draper, Inc. has announced its TecVision XH900X Grey projection viewing surface has been certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) for excellent color reproduction and fidelity. XH900X Grey performs very well in moderate ambient light, is well suited for high resolution content, and is 4K ready. This latest announcement means the entire TecVision Engineered Surface Technology line is now ISF certified.
GIG HARBOR, WA – Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church recently converted the visual platform in their main worship space from a traditional projector and screen system to Elation EZ Series LED video screens. Church leaders initially looked at two 15,000 lumen projectors as replacements for a pair of aging 10K lumen projectors but opted for the Elation video screens instead. Agility AVL installed the gear.
COPENHAGEN, Denmark – For Original, a comedy tour featuring Danish comedian Andreas Bo, lighting designer and technician Malte Hauge got involved early on as preparations for the tour got underway, collaborating on the format and scenography with technical consultant Thomas Scharling and Bo himself. Their design features three SGM LED screen surfaces rather than one big video wall.

However, on December 11, when it was the Lending Club Corporation’s turn to launch their initial public offering and first day of trading on the NYSE, they wanted something extra. Michael Ahern Productions brought in video equipment rental company Pete’s Big TVs to help.

Hungarian videomapping specialist Maxin1osity took on the large-scale challenge, relying upon image processing technology from Germany-based coolux to get the job done.
