d3 Technologies' media serves on the field and in Prepro for Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show

Super Bowl Halftime Show Video Images Rely on d3 Technologies Media Servers

GLENDALE, AZ – To accompany performances by Katy Perry, Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz at the 2015 Super Bowl Halftime Show,  lighting director Jason Rudolph used eight d3 Technologies 4x4pro media servers to map the projection surface on the football field with content from 80 Barco projectors. The d3 servers also sent four feeds to control the LED stage. (A rendering of the imagery seen by a record-breaking TV viewing audience is pictured here.)

Creative Backstage Now Offering Absen Video Screens

PHOENIX – Creative BackStage recently added Absen A6t 6.25mm LED video screen to its inventory of gear. The screens were first deployed at the annual Alice Cooper Christmas Pudding concert in December 2014, pictured here. Since then, the new 6mm LED screen product has been used at Circle K New Year’s Eve Block Party in Tempe, AZ, pictured below. They were also deployed at Birds Nest at the Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, AZ and at a few private fund raiser events.

LONDON – XL Video supplied LED and video screens for an hour-long special celebrated Bruce Forsyth’s long career in show business called Bruce’s Hall of Fame. Produced by Hat Trick Productions, the show was recorded Nov. 1, 2014 at the London Palladium and aired on BBC1 on Dec. 27, 2014.

Solotech Provides New Scoreboard at Olympic Stadium in Montreal

MONTREAL, Canada – Solotech provided the new scoreboard for Olympic Park stadium here. The new scoreboard features a 16mm pixel pitch LED display measuring 33.4 by 9.4 meters (WxH) – 3,380 square feet in all. The new screen, one of the largest in Canada, replaces two smaller screens installed in 1992. Along with the scoreboard, Solotech supplied and installed an electrical distribution system, a fiber video distribution system, image processors and a sports scoring system.

Visions of Austria Projected Onto Opera House “Sails” near Sydney Harbor

SYDNEY, Australia – Technical Direction Company (TDC) did its part to bring together the similar-sounding (but wildly differing) nations of Austria and Australia with Visions of Vienna – a large-format projection of imagery from Vienna on the “sails” of the iconic Sydney Opera House. The multi-media artistic project was a collaboration between the Vienna Tourist Board and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

NEW YORK – WorldStage continues to expand its equipment inventory with the purchase of several new d3 Technologies media servers. The company now has d3 4×4 PRO servers and d3 4×2 PRO servers to supplement their existing d3 4U v2.5 units. Along with these recent acquisitions, WorldStage has been gearing up to support clients’ 4K needs with a Barco E2 presentation system.
