XL Video Supports Olivier Awards for Fifth Year in a Row

LONDON – Working with the Society of London Theatre, XL Video supported the Olivier Awards 2015 with MasterCard with the supply of video screens, media servers and control systems in two London locations, and once again sponsored the award for Best Set Design. This is the fifth consecutive year XL Video has been involved in the video production for the awards.

Harrods’ Faberge Eggs Get Projection Mapped with d3 Technologies

LONDON – Harrods department store and Russian art jeweler Faberge celebrated Easter with a 21st century twist on Faberge’s iconic Easter eggs: a larger-than-life interactive projection-mapped egg on display in the store’s holiday windows.  Projection Artworks used d3 Technologies’ 4x4pro media server to map the egg with video imagery.

LONDON — XL Video supported Teenage Cancer Trust’s annual run of live shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the third consecutive year. For this 15th anniversary XL Video supplied LED screens, live cameras and HD recordings for the seven shows in late March 2015.

Dubai’s HbMPSG Features Projection Tracking via d3, BlackTrax Technologies

DUBAI, UAE – Production Technology LLC (Protec) put d3 Technologies’ 4x4pro media servers to work on the Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Smart Government awards (HbMPSG) at the World Trade Centre Arena in Dubai.  Protec chose d3 media servers with CAST BlackTrax realtime motion tracking to deliver the complex projection mapping element of the event.

Panama City’s Biomuseo Gets AV Support from Electrosonic

PANAMA CITY, Panama – Electrosonic has designed, fabricated and installed audio-visual systems in one of the most unique museums in the world, the Biomuseo in Panama City, Panama. Situated on the Amador Causeway, at the entrance to the Panama Canal in Latin America’s only Frank Gehry-designed building, the Biomuseo will offer eight permanent art and science galleries on the origin of the isthmus and its impact on the planet’s biodiversity.

Projection Mapped Whale Shark in China Gets Support from Christie and Wincomn

BEIJING, China – Christie and its Chinese partner, Wincomn Technology, joined forces for a permanent projection mapping display on a large whale shark sculpture, which is part of a large-scale show titled Glamorous Sky Over Hengqin. The spectacle features dramatic lighting, audio, video, pyro and stunt performances at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom.
