Record-Setting Hoover Dam Projection Gets CT Assist

LAS VEGAS – A large-format projection on Hoover Dam on behalf of client Freightliner got an assist from Creative Technology’s specialized software for projection mapping. The projection was described as the largest-ever in the U.S., with 60 26K-lumen projectors lighting up the 420,000 square foot surface from a half-mile away with 4592 x 2048 pixels on the dam’s surface.

Christie Donates Digital Projector to Kansas Town Hit by Tornado

GREENSBURG, KS — On May 4, 2007, a EF5 tornado packing 205 mph winds devastated the town of Greensburg, Kansas. Nearly all of the town’s structures were leveled, including the historic Twilight Theatre, which dated back to 1917. Determined residents rebuilt the town, and the theatre. Christie assisted by donating a digital projector, which was used for a red-carpet live reopening event that included a free screening of the 1985 hit movie, Back to the Future.
