NASHVILLE — Earlier in 2015, mobile production specialist TNDV managed the multi-camera production for two pilot episodes of Skyville Live, the Emmy nominated music series that brings musical performers together with an intimate audience. The success of those shoots led to an invitation to provide turnkey mobile production services for a special December program, streamed live exclusively on USA TODAY’s website with sponsorship support from Gannett Company, the national newspaper’s publisher.

MOBILE, AL – For the International Congress of Airbus’ Suppliers, which took place at the Arthur Outlaw Convention Center, AV service provider LCD Vision used Analog Way’s Ascender 48, a multi-screen seamless switcher with soft-edge blending capabilities, to meet the event’s live video production needs. 

GLADSTONE, Australia – Simon Mai, operations supervisor at Gladstone’s multipurpose Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC), turned to Graeme Hicks of Entertainment Production Supplies for an assist in equipping the 1,700/674 capacity venue (standing/seated) with a media server solution. Hicks steered Mai toward Green Hippo’s Amba.

SAN FRANCISCO – WorldStage Lab supported FIGMENT Oakland, a free public arts festival, with an 18-foot wide Unilumin LED wall and creative content for the outdoor big-screen display.  WorldStage Lab is an extension of the core business of WorldStage and focuses on emerging media server and interactive technologies for live events and happenings.

WINDSOR and BARRY, U.K. – The Projection Studio (TPS) has produced two high profile festive installations this year – at Windsor Castle and in the Welsh seaside town of Barry in Glamorgan. BOOM, Belgium  – d3 Technologies has named FACE, Foundation for Audio-Visual Commerce & Engineering, as its new reseller in the Benelux (Belgium-The Netherlands-Luxembourg) region.  FACE recently supplied a 3D mapping project in Bokrijk, Belgium (pictured here) with d3 gear. The company also hosted a d3 Open House earlier this month.

SAN FRANCISCO — Ustream, a leading provider of live and on-demand video platforms, is using Roland’s VR-50HD all-in-one HD multi-format AV mixer to control internal streaming audio and video communications within its corporate environment. Pictured here with the switcher is Ustream’s Alden Fertig.

TORONTO — For the 2015 Pan Am Games (held July 10-26) and Parapan Am Games (held Aug. 7-15), APG Displays provided large LCD video displays. The company supplied their 55” LCD modular NEC X554UN videowall and their 46” LCD modular NEC X462UN videowall to support the events for able-bodied and disabled athletes.

PENSACOLA, FL — D3D Cinema will be installing a new laser-illuminated giant screen projection system at the National Naval Aviation Museum using a 4K laser-illuminated solution from Christie. Pictured here is Christie’s D4K60LH high frame rate 3DLP 4K RGB laser projector system. RPG Productions in Burbank, CA is converting the museum’s 1996 film, The Magic of Flight, to a 4K digital format.

SINGAPORE – A technology rich exhibition offering a ‘taste of what living in Singapore will look like in 2030’ opened in December 2015 featuring immersive, multi-sensory experiences with visuals powered by Avolites Ai Infinity EX8 servers.

SYDNEY – TDC (Technical Direction Company) supported large-format projections on such Sydney landmarks as St Mary’s Cathedral (pictured here) and the Commercial Travellers Association Building in Martin Place (pictured below).
