Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Relies on AV Stumpfl for Holidays in Space Program

TITUSVILLE, FL – The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex decked the halls last Christmas with a Holidays in Space theme from December 2015 through January 2016. The 223-foot long Saturn 1B rocket located in the open air Rocket Garden served as a giant 6,528 by 1,050-pixel projection surface. AV Stumpfl gear was included in the setup, which made use of 80,000 lumens of projected light.

The team from RES used Avolites Ai S4 servers.

NEW YORK  For Eric Prydz’ EPIC 4.0 shows in the U.S. this spring, the DJ got visual support from longtime collaborators RES, who created a colossal visual show driven by Avolites Ai S4 servers. The team includes Mark Calvert of RES (production director), Liam Tomaszewski (creative director and VJ), Ross Chapple (lighting designer), Ian Gotts (tour production manager) and Dave Green (Ai programmer). Also supporting the shows are production companies PRG, PRG Nocturne USA and Lightware USA.

Christie Marks 10-Year Milestone for Environmental Initiatives

CYPRESS, CA – Christie chairman, president and CEO Jack Kline detailed progress that the company and its corporate parent, Ushio, have made in the 10 years since the launch of their Environmental Management System (EMS). The system, based on ISO 14001, focuses on building and continually improving Christie’s environmental performance. The EMS encompasses numerous environmental programs including waste reduction, recycling, water and electricity reduction, facility and operational improvements, with a significant net CO2 reduction.

OXFORDSHIRE, U.K. – Central Presentations Ltd (CPL) provided a widescreen projection system plus lighting and sound production for ‘Big Day Out’, an event for ITV Commercial sales teams staged at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire. The event, which included series of motivational talks and presentations interspersed with choreographed entertainment and magicians, took place in the venue’s Lecture Theatre. CPL supplied a 12 by 4 meter (WxH) projection screen, fed by Panasonic 12K laser projectors.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — For the CUE 2016 National Conference, an education technology event that took place March 17-19 in Palm Springs, AV Professionals deployed Roland’s V-800HD Multi-Format Video Switcher. Garth Fjellstrom, president of AV Professionals, credited the switcher for its functionality and value. The conference, the largest of its kind in California, has been attended by educators, technology coordinators, administrators and other education professionals for 35 years.

LONDON – For the UK premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice at London’s Leicester Square, Impact Production Services used Chauvet Professional’s PVP X6IP LED panels and ÉPIX Strip Tour LED fixtures. The panels displayed visual content and pictures of the various comic book figures in the film, in addition to “Batman” and “Superman” lettering.
