SHANGHAI, China — Compound Photonics, an eight-year old technology company focused on projection technologies, featured what it calls the world’s smallest native 4K imaging device, measuring only 14mm diagonally and featuring pixels smaller than three microns. STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Barco and High End Systems will be enhancing the visuals at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest this year. During the semi-finals and finals in Stockholm, Sweden, a full stack of high-brightness Barco projectors, 10 of which are equipped with Barco’s High End Systems’ MMS-200 moving mirror systems, and Barco’s E2 screen management system will be used by the design team to light more than 40 artists.

NASHVILLE — Mobile production specialist TNDV recently brought two major, unrelated live worship events together from opposite coasts, unifying the weather-challenged productions to enhance both the in-venue and broadcast audience experience.The events, AzusaNow and UnitedCry, were held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and on the National Mall in Washington DC, respectively, in stormy spring conditions.

BOSTON – Darren Lussier and Brian McNamara of Image Production Services provided Boston-themed visuals for the Smith & Nephew booth at the Arthroscopy Association of North America convention using the PVP X3 LED video panel from Chauvet Professional. The event took place April 14-16 at the John B. Hynes Veteran Memorial Convention Center in Boston.
LONDON – To promote British retailer VERY’s Spring 2016 fashion collection, Transition Video designed and fabricated a 5m x 5m LED cube clad with LED panels on three sides. Through their ad agency, St Luke’s, VERY turned to PrettyBird for creative content. Working with PrettyBird’s Dori Oskowitz, Mark Calvert from RES used Avolites’ Ai S6 server to pixel map and play back the digital content, which included a fast moving array of dancers surrounding the cube.
