Acuity Insurance’s Campus Theater Installs NanoLumens Video Walls

SHEBOYGAN, WI — As part of a massive, multi-year corporate headquarters expansion here, Acuity Insurance is building a 2,000-capacity in-the-round theater. Along with a steep rake to the seating plan, the venue features multi-panel LED curved displays that make use of NanoLumens video screens.

Musicbed Licensing Platform Creates Live Recording Sessions with Blackmagic Design

FREMONT, CA – Blackmagic Design announced recently that the music licensing platform Musicbed uses ATEM live production switchers and SmartView monitors to create cinematic live music experiences, called “Musicbed Sessions,” which feature performances from musicians spanning various genres. Musicbed currently works with more than 700 indie musicians and composers for sync licensing and custom scores.

2016 Ryder Cup to Feature Record Number of LED Screens

HAZELTINE, MN – This week’s Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club outside the Twin Cities will feature more LED video screens than have ever been placed at a PGA Tour event. The PGA of America hired Texas-based GoVision to provide and install 15 large LED screens throughout the golf course, Media Center and International Pavilion. The typical PGA Tour event uses two to four LED screens.

NEW YORK – The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) rolled out the red carpet at New York City’s Madison Square Garden where a d3 4x4pro fed an array of scenic video screens in the iconic sports and entertainment venue. The ceremony was shown live on multiple Viacom cable networks and through smart TV and mobile devices, MTV’s website and Facebook Live.

California’s Great America Theme Park Turns to 3D Live and Electrosonic for AV Assist with New 4D Attraction

SANTA CLARA, CA – Audiences are lining up to visit and revisit Mass Effect: New Earth, A 4D Holographic Journey at California’s Great America theme park near San Jose.  Based on EA’s “Mass Effect” sci fi videogame franchise developed by BioWare, the 4.5-minute ride combines 3D LED technology with 3D audio, motion seats, environmental effects and an on-stage performer to create a dynamic experience that’s been hailed as new benchmark in immersive attractions.

“The Magic Flute” Opera in Korea Features Christie Projections

SEOUL –  For the production of Mozart’s opera, The Magic Flute, at the Seoul Arts Center (SAC), the visual design includes viideo projection using Christie Roadster WU20K-J 3DLP units. Christie Korea and Christie’s Korean partner IMTEC supported the technical needs of the opera, which runs until Sept. 27, 2016.

LUMA Projection Arts Festival Draws Crowd to Binghamton, NY with Video from Christie Projectors

BINGHAMTON, NY – Nine Christie Roadster HD20K-J 3DLP projectors showcased local artists and their creations – including the area’s own Johnny Hart, creator of the BC comic strip –  onto five historic buildings at the annual LUMA Projection Arts Festival earlier this month. The brainchild of Tice Lerner, Nick Rubenstein and Joshua Bernard Ludzki, the event, now in its second year, featured animation by noted motion design firm Favorite Color, and included work from other animators including the winner of a juried competition. New City Video & Staging handled the installation.

The company's demo room, Room N103, will be open to all LDI attendees.

LAS VEGAS– On Oct. 21, Nashville-based LED video manufacturer PixelFLEX will launch an Augmented Reality LED video experience at the LDI Conference and Tradeshow inside the Las Vegas Convention Center. Located in Room N103, PixelFLEX will showcase a myriad of new products including the AR-LED, the LumiFLEX LED basketball floor, plus 2.6mm and 1.25mm LED video technology.

Image Production Services Uses Chauvet Video Panels for Vessel Reveal Event

NEW YORK – Talk about an enthusiastic reception. “This Monument Could Be Manhattan’s Answer to the Eiffel Tower,” screamed a headline in the online edition of Fortune Magazine on September 14, when the design of a towering abstract structure called “Vessel” was reveled at a ceremony in New York’s Hudson Yards.  Providing the gathered crowd with a better view of the proceedings and adding visual impact to special exhibitions at the reveal event were two large LED video walls created by Image Production Services, using CHAUVET Professional PVP and MVP tiles.
