Clay Paky Alpha Beam 300

The Alpha Beam 300 from Clay Paky is a moving yoke luminaire that emulates the beam of an ACL by producing a near-parallel beam. It has a beam angle of 8° and it uses a 300-watt lamp. It has eight non-rotating gobos, linear frost, CMY color mixing, an eight-position plus open color wheel, dimmer on a dedicated channel and strobe. It is supplied with a flicker-free electronic ballast as standard and it weighs 42 pounds. It measures 24.8” high with the head focused straight up and the base is 15.2” by 16.” PRG Distribution distributes Clay Paky in North America.


 

Coemar RegoLED DMX512

Coemar’s new RegoLED DMX512 is a module switches low-voltage DC LED fixtures via a DMX512 control signal. It can supply from 9V to 28.5VDC at 7 amps maximum, and it can control LED strips, tape, lights, modules, ropes, sticks, etc. that have no built-in DMX512 control. The RegoLed DMX is connected between the power supply and LED units via screw terminals, and it is addressed via dip switches. It has three individually controlled channels of output, four internal stand-alone programs and uses six channels of DMX control. The six control channels consist of dimming, RGB control, strobe and automatic programs.


ArKaos Media Master

The new Media Master from Arkaos can run on a laptop or can play up to eight FPS HD movies on an octo-core server. It can display all playing layers simultaneously and it supports MSEX (Media Server Extensions) protocol, which allows thumbnail displays of media on some lighting consoles. Up to 40,000 visuals can be stored in more than 200 folders and it supports Flash, MPEG 2/4, QuickTime photo JPEG, and more. It is compatible with ArKaos LED Mapper. Other features include keystoning, soft-edge blending, and live video capture from DV, USB or PCI cards. It runs on PC or Mac.


Martin Maxedia Broadcast

Maxedia Broadcast™ is the latest generation of the media composer and playback device from Martin. It is optimized for hi-def playback with quad core processors, 1080p playback support and two outputs. It features nearly a terabyte of drive space in a RAID array, two graphics cards that can be split over a maximum of three displays for custom wide- screen projections, allowing a maximum of six projectors to be connected, and a pixel mapping engine for CMY and RGB systems. The touchscreen-optimized user interface provides access to video clips, still images and animations. Effects include color control, keystoning and framing of playback.


MLT ORB

ORB from MLT is a lightweight, modular LED video display structure with an IP rating of 55 or 65. It is constructed with PETG thermoplastic copolyester carapace with LEDs and an aluminum frame. Each pixel contains two red, one green, and one blue LED and the maximum brightness is 1000 candelas/meter2. The structure ranges in size from two to five meters in diameter and weighs 150 kg (331 lbs) for the two-meter display and 1200 kg (2,646 lbs) for the five-meter display. It has six rigging points and displays raw video and graphics. It operates from 110V to 230VAC and draws 100-watts/meter2.


Stage Research Video 101 Manager

Stage Research’s Video 101 Manager has been upgraded to let the producer/stage technician route live video as an input. It allows the end-user mix and blend live, and/or canned, motion over dance, musical performance, theatre, or corporate podium/panel presentations. It can play most video formats including MPG, AVI or WMV and route video to any output on a computer. The SFX extension is free to all current SFX 6.x users and will also allow Video Manager to be located on the same computer as SFX or anywhere on the network. Control options include Seek, Stop and Play.


Vaddio PreView HD Monitors

Vaddio’s new PreView™ HD Dual 7.0 and PreView HD Triple 5.0 LCD Rack Mount Monitors are 16:9 aspect ratio LCD screens backlit by LEDs. Inputs include component, composite, S-video, and a VGA input with a variety of resolutions up to SXGA. Both the Dual 7.0 and Triple 5.0 have 1.2 megapixel screens. The PreView HD Dual 7.0 features two 7-inch (17.78 cm) hi-def LCD monitors, while the PreView HD Triple 5.0 features three 5-inch (12.7 cm) hi-def monitors. An internal menu is included to adjust brightness, contrast, color, tint, sharpness and several other options. Tally lights connections are provided.


Altinex CP451-008 Wireless Touchscreen Controller

The new CP451-008 Wireless Touchscreen Controller from Altinex is designed for many applications including multimedia control systems, general computing and real-time data terminals. It runs an embedded Windows XP operating system and senses touch from a finger, stylus, pen, pencil, gloved finger, or other tool. It can run on battery power and control devices over a WLAN (wireless local area network). It includes sample applications for communicating with devices over a WLAN and custom subroutines to control many devices. AVSnap AV system integration tool comes pre-installed and the unit supports Bluetooth. The Bluetooth module is compatible with most peripheral devices.

PR Lighting StarBrite LED Cloth

PR Lighting has launched the new StarBrite LED cloth and dedicated PR-8710C controller, which comes complete with flight case. IPX3-protected (against spraying water), the StarBrite comes with 12 preset programs contains a total of 144 LEDs (18 x 8 sequences), with a lamp life of 30,000 hours. Outputting 150cd brightness with all the LED’s emitting white light, it also offers strobe, white color channel (for color testing, and with strobe and dimming), DMX or manual control. There is also a key-press lock for avoiding improper operation. The LED StarBrite’s power consumption is less than 30W, while the Controller (input 200W, output 150W max) can drive four separate StarBrite cloths. The StarBrite comes in 6000mm x 4000mm cloth sizes and the controller measures 190mm x 320mm x 87.5mm. The cloth and 15-meter signal connection cable weighs 20kg and the controller 2.3kg.

Global Truss LED Truss Warmer

Global Truss America has launched its first-ever lighting product: a color-changing LED truss warmer designed specifically to fit inside the company’s square truss. Powered by nine 1-watt LEDs (three red, three green, three blue), the new TW-RGB9 Truss Warmer uses RGB color mixing for a wide array of colors and color changing and fade effects for concerts, stage productions, nightclubs, DJ shows or other entertainment applications. The units use DMX-512 protocol for control and come with preprogrammed color macros and a built-in microphone for sound-active operation. Built with truss-warming in mind, the units are designed with a compact triangular shape, allowing them to be inserted into F34 and F44 square truss. The silver finish is also designed to blend in with steel or aluminum trussing. The TW-RGB9 Truss Warmer has an MSRP of $358.95.

Elation ELAR Image X Projector

Elation Architectural’s new ELAR Image X image projector features a 32-watt xenon lamp source with a color temperature of 6,000K and an average lamp life of 3,000 hours. It is available in two versions: the ELAR Image X with stationary projection and the ELAR Image XR with rotating projection. Both versions accept metal and glass gobos with an O.D. of 37.5mm and an image diameter of 20mm. Each is supplied with a four-foot power cord.  The MSRP of the ELAR Image X is $419.95. The MSRP of the ELAR Image X is $479.95.

Interactive Technologies SceneStation

The new SceneStation from Interactive Technologies is an architectural wall station for DMX playback. It can control nearly any DMX device and it can be programmed to run shows up to 64 steps. It features five customizable buttons that can be programmed run chases, step sequentially through scenes, toggle on and off, or act as a momentary switch. Each button includes programmable RGB backlighting and the button caps can be engraved with custom legends. An infrared Programmer’s Remote can be used to set up and program the SceneStation with fade and follow times, button colors, DMX channel levels and more.
