The Jack from Italy-based DTS Lighting is designed to serve as a high-power, compact, lightweight and versatile moving head that works as three fixtures in one — 35°-46° wash, 4°-34° spot and 1°-4° beam. Features include Philips’ MSD Platinum 5R 189W discharge lamp [outputting 35,000 Lux at 5 m (4°)], a wide excursion motorized zoom, fast and silent pan/tilt [pan: 540° (2.5 seconds); tilt: 270° (1.5 seconds)] and other functions including color changing, gobo changing and adjustable focus, zoom and iris.

Enttec Pty Ltd’s D-PRO software-based lighting controller, created through a collaboration between Enttec and db Audioware on DMXIS (D-PRO is actually DMXIS-PRO for short), effectively turns computers into lighting consoles, in command-line mode or with a touch screen. Using an app like iDisplay, D-PRO’s Show Control window can run on an iPad. A version of D-PRO is now available for the Datagate MK2 — Enttec’s Ethernet-DMX networking tool. Along with support for a wide range of cues, palettes and groups, D-PRO offers a multi-layered cuelist playback engine, scripting and effects and other new features. D-PRO works natively in both Mac and Windows environments. The introductory price is $299 for eight universes of DMX output.

LOS ANGELES –  Elation Professional introduces a new lighting controller targeted for permanent installations. The new Art SSC is  a 1024-channel DMX command-line controller with a complete array of features and capabilities to program, operate, record, playback and schedule light shows, in one low-maintenance solid-state unit, without requiring a computer.

Software provider Stardraw.com has launched Stardraw Design 7, a new system design/documentation tool for systems integrators. The software is available for download on Stardraw.com’s website.

ETC is now shipping the Tessera, or Unison Mosaic Tessera Controller (MTPC). A new addition to ETC’s Unison line of architectural control, Tessera combines a 4.3” touchscreen with a 512-channel DMX-Over-Ethernet Mosaic controller. Tessera controls complex lighting shows with moving lights as well as color-mixing LEDs, conventionals and dimmers. It also handles impromptu show control, accessories, automation, waterworks, and other non-lighting effects.

LED screen brand Pixled has expanded its range of portable, lightweight screen surfaces applicable from entire stage sets to specialist presentation and exhibition areas and retail displays.

LSC Lighting Systems’ LX Series of consoles includes the LX300, LX600 and LX900, pictured here. All feature touch screens, multiple programmers, unlimited undo/redo, FaderIdent for playback mode indication, media server integration, LED pixel mapping and Rig Schematic patching, which allows users to import rig or venue images to overlay patched fixtures to help designers make fixture selections.
