LOS ANGELES —Production Resource Group, L.L.C. (PRG) is now shipping the new TruColor HS lighting system for film and television production. The company says the volume of light produced is nearly twice as much output as a 2K soft source with no significant heat, no flicker and no noise. At the heart of TruColor HS fixtures are custom-formulated ChromaLit remote phosphor panels, offering color rendering with a wide range of color temperatures. The TruColor HS can output up to 100 fc at 10 feet, providing 25,000 lumens while consuming less than 450 watts.

LOS ANGELES – American DJ introduces two battery-powered LED RGB color-mixing fixtures, the Mega Go Bar50 and Mega Go Par64, that offer lighting users freedom from cords and plugs. With a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, the Mega Go Bar50 and Mega Go Par64 will hold their charge and work at full force for eight hours. The fixtures are equipped with 10mm LEDs, rated at 50,000 hours.

The Mega-Lite N-E Color FX9 is an LED strip fixture with matrix capabilities. Its nine 3-watt Tri Color LEDs offer smooth color mixing, while its DMX feature allows multiple units to daisy chain.

The WiFlex DMX System, by American DJ, is a transmitter and receiver package that is compatible with all standard DMX controllers and fixtures in the market. It was designed to transmit DMX signal wirelessly, up to 500 feet, between the user’s DMX console and fixtures.

The ROBIN 100 LEDBeam is the latest in the Robe LED product line. Small and compact, weighing in at 4  Kgs (8.8 lbs), the fixture offers preprogrammed effects for eye candy as well as strobing and color chasing.

Middle Atlantic Products calls its patent-pending Series Protection the fastest responding series type surge suppression available in the industry. It promises to provide instantaneous protection of AV systems from damaging surges, and it is available in a new family of power distribution units.

High End Systems’ TechnoArc automated luminaire is designed for small to medium scale performance applications. The compact soft-edge luminaire – and a companion to the hard-edged Technospot – features smooth CMY color mixing and a fixed color wheel, a 6.5 inch lens, 8° to 32° zoom, and more than 14,000 lumens of output. The fixture is now shipping from its Austin, TX headquarters.

TRUSST launches its first line of trussing and related components at InfoComm 2012. The aluminum truss system, backed by Chauvet, uses modular components and a conical connector system to easily mate with other brands of truss of the same size and connector style.
