ARRI L7-TT LED Fresnel

ARRI L7-TT LED Fresnel

ARRI’s L7-TT LED Fresnel, a tunable tungsten model (hence the “TT”), joins the company’s L-Series range. The new TT version is similar in design to the ARRI L7-C, but with the TT, users can adjust the color temperature from 2600K to 3600K. The TT version is also 20 percent brighter, while matching the L7-C’s size, weight, calibrated color quality and adjustable green-magenta point. As with all L-Series fixtures, the L7-TT LED Fresnel can be cost-justified with extended operating life and reductions in power usage by 75 percent or more.

Blackmagic Design Production Camera 4K

Blackmagic Design Production Camera 4K

Blackmagic Design’s compact Production Camera 4K combines the virtues of a high resolution 4K digital film camera with a Super 35 size sensor, professional global shutter and precision EF mount optics. It can be used to record high quality compressed CinemaDNG RAW and Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) files, and it also supports the new 6G-SDI video connection out, so it can be used on live video production.

Chroma-Q Studio Force T 12 Phosphor

Chroma-Q Studio Force T 12 Phosphor

The new Chroma-Q Studio Force T 12 Phosphor 3200K CCT tungsten white fixture, designed for TV and film production, produces up to 6,000 lumens of light with a quality comparable to the soft edge output of a fluorescent fixture. Using LED technologies found in Chroma-Q’s Studio Force range, the fixture’s camera-friendly features include uniform wash, extra soft beam and theatrical grade dimming. The unit is equipped with a manual control mode, color touchscreen interface and Fanless, Studio and Full modes of operation.

Cineo Lighting TruColor LS

Cineo Lighting TruColor LS

TruColor LS squeezes the Remote Phosphor Technology (RPT) found in Cineo’s TruColor HS into a smaller, lighter package. Along with an ample volume of soft light, TruColor LS promises an extended CRI over 95, a 160-degree beam spread and the ability to run on less than 170W of AC power. Instead of direct light from LEDs, TruColor LS, like TruColor HS, have independent phosphor panels that get “excited” by high-frequency wavelengths from blue LEDs. This lets users achieve a variety of color temperatures through the use of interchangeable phosphor panels.

Elation TVL4000 White LED Panel

Elation TVL4000 White LED Panel

Elation’s TVL4000 packs 1600 cool and warm white LEDs (800 of each) into a 27-lb. panel measuring 26” x 23.75” x 5.” Users can adjust the color temperature from 2900K to 6000K. The entire fixture draws just 160W at full output while providing 960 lux at 5 meters. The flicker-free fixture has built-in 5-pin and 3-pin connections for DMX control with an LED menu system on the rear for configuration and local control. Adjustable barn doors are included.

Litepanels 1x1 LS Bi-Color Panel

Litepanels 1×1 LS Bi-Color Panel

Lightpanels’ 1×1 LS Bi-Color gives users the ability to dial in color temperatures from daylight to tungsten and anything in between while maintaining a consistent intensity of full spectrum, soft, directional light. As with Litepanels’ 1×1 Bi-Color, the LS model promises flicker-free analog dimming, AC or DC power options and rugged build quality, but the more “entry level” LS is controlled locally at the fixture; there’s no DMX control or remote control dimming functionality.

MoleLED Fresnels

MoleLED Fresnels

Mole Richardson’s new line of MoleLED Fresnels leverage the company’s Quantum Dot LED technology, developed to duplicate single-color 3200K Tungsten and 5600K Daylight Fresnels. The MoleLED line includes the 100W  TweenieLED (with a 4.5-inch lens), 150W BabyLED (with a 6-inch lens; pictured here) and  the 200W JuniorLED (with an 8-inch lens). Along with a borosilicate glass Fresnel lens, each fixture offers a universal power supply, built-in local dimming and on-board DMX dimming functionality.

Videssence Vidnel VN100 LED Fresnel

Videssence Vidnel VN100 LED Fresnel

Videssence’s Vidnel VN100 LED Fresnel promises to serve as an energy-efficient alternative to traditional tungsten Fresnels. With a 98 CRI and color temperature of 3200K color (5600K optional), the single 100W LED is designed for flicker-free dimming without color shift. A manual slide bar at the side of the fixture focuses the beam and locks in place. The fixture runs without internal fans, and a touchpad allows for programing for DMX control/dimming. The fixtures has a standard six-inch gel frame and barn doors.
