Mega-Lite has added several new stage lighting fixtures to its Drama LED Series including the Drama LED Z Fresnel 200, a powerful flat beam fixture; and the Drama LED Z200 W and Drama LED Z200 N, both hard-edge ellipsoidal fixtures.
ShapeShifter from Barco’s High End Systems is designed with 126 high-powered LEDs with custom lensing to provide a powerful beam of light. Seven independently controlled modules housed in one moving fixture promise a multitude of highly defined beams to form a head-turning array of effects. The product is distributed in the U.S. by Creative Stage Lighting.
Inner Circle Distribution (ICD), the U.S. distributor for Futurelight fixtures, announced the launch of their Wave moving bar spot fixtures. Available in two versions — cold white (with six 20W white LEDs) and a color version (with 4-in-1 10W RGBW LEDs, pictured here), the fixtures are designed for beam effects with a 2.5 degree beam angle.

Chauvet Professional’s COLORdash Batten-Hex 8 joins the company’s other linear LED wash fixtures. The fixture features eight 10W “Hex” LEDs — six-color modules including red, green, blue, amber, white and UV diodes on a single chip. The unit measures 23 inches (584 mm) and comes with Neutrik powerCON input/output connectors and 3- and 5-pin DMX in/out for easy power and data daisy-chaining. Up to 11 COLORdash Batten-Hex 8 units can be linked at 120V, and 20 units at 230V.
FiberPlex Technologies, a leading manufacturer of multiplexers for transporting data over fiber optic networks, is preparing to launch its new TD-6010 adapter at InfoComm 2014. The TD-6010 adapter will be able to take a variety of SFP/SFP+ modules for a wide array of format conversion scenarios – even those that haven’t been invented yet, according to the company’s president, Buddy Oliver.

Philips Vari-Lite, which recently debuted its VL4000 Spot Luminaire along with a higher-output version dubbed the VL4000GT, has opted to boost the original VL4000 Spot’s 25K lumens of output to more than 33K lumens. As a result, instead of marketing two versions of the fixture, Philips Vari-Lite is marketing just one product — the enhanced-output version of the VL4000 Spot.
