1T-CT-550 System from tvONE

tvONE’s new 1T-CT-550 system offers DVI + Audio over a single Cat.6 extension. The system can achieve signal distribution distances of up to 325 feet for uncompressed WUGXA signals without signal degradation. The 1T-CT-550 system consists of a 1T-CT-551 Transmitter (pictured here) coupled with a 1T-CT-552 Receiver (pictured below).

MA Lighting has extended its range of 1Gbit MA 4Port and 8Port Nodes with a new range of matching 1Gbit 2Port Nodes. The range includes the MA 2Port Node, the MA 2Port Node onPC 1K and the MA 2Port Node onPC 2K (pictured here). A range of accessories is available to facilitate front or rear connections and all rack mounting and truss rigging combinations. There are also specific 2/4Port Node Power over Ethernet installation versions in development which should be available later this year.

Artistic License Upgrades DMX Rail Splitter

Artistic Licence has upgraded Rail-Split RDM, a DMX splitter, adding a fixer mode that eliminates flickering caused by misread data. Another new feature is the front-panel LED indicators, which allow the user to see at a glance the power and data activity status.

Christie Roadie 4K Projector

Christie’s Roadie 4K25 and 4K35 projectors, both featured at InfoComm 2014, join the company’s rental/staging line-up of rugged, road-toughened display systems. Both are 3-chip DLP projectors that promise 4K resolution at 60Hz – with optional 120Hz capability – and 25,000 and 35,000 lumens, respectively.

PR Lighting’s XR 330 discharge Spot (PR-2350) uses an Osram Sirius HRI 330W XL lamp, with color temperature of 7500K. Power consumption is just 450W@220V. The fixture offers smooth CYM color mixing with macro, a color wheel with 14 colors (plus white), which provides variable, bi-directional rainbow effect, with step/linear color changing.

Le Maitre USA has launched FreezeJet, a liquid CO2 jet. The FreezeJet generates a blast of freezing fog in columns of 30 to 40 feet that disappear instantly when switched off, and can be fired at different angles. A 25-foot hose can be supplied as standard or optional, and the design allows the unit to be used with high pressure LCO2, CO2 Dewars or LN2 Dewar tanks (with optional LN2 fitting).

Martin Professional’s new ShowDesigner 6 (MSD 6) promises photorealistic rendering in real-time using the latest DirectX technology. Its timeline control lets users create complex presentations including lighting, video, animated scenery, camera motion and animated smoke effects. It is Vectorworks-friendly and through a Windows-based plug-in, Vectorworks files can be exported and imported into MSD 6. It also comes with its own 3D modeling app to help users quickly build objects and materials or import DXF and native SketchUp formats along with all textures and UV maps.

Neutrik USA says its transparent SCCD-W spring-loaded cover, for the company’s D-size chassis powerCON Series connectors, is designed to shut automatically after unplugging the cable connector, sealing the chassis connectors against dust and water. Similar in concept to the company’s SCDX fliptop covers, which provide IP42 ingress protection, the SCCD-W spring-loaded cover allows for an IP65 rating.

D.T.S. Lighting’s MAX L, like the company’s MAX, offers users four different types of projection with a single moving head: Beam, Spot, Wash, and Studio. Although both fixtures make use of Philips’ MSD Platinum 16R 330W (16K lumen) light source and share many other characteristics, the MAX L offers a few differences in terms of beam angles and optical specs, and the company touts the beam, in studio mode, as being “evenly diffused as never before.”
