Astera Lightdrop Spotlight
Astera’s Lightdrop (AX3), which replaces the Lightdrop (AL3-M), has Cree LEDs, Samsung batteries and optional CRMX Wireless DMX from LumenRadio. Equipped with a 15W Cree LED chip with a 13° beam angle, the AX3 is twice as bright as its predecessor. Its diffusor dome lets this spot fixture be used for uplighting, and the fixture also comes with an adjustable bracket. As with the AL3-M, the AX3 has a magnetic underside so it can easily attach to metallic surfaces.
Chauvet WELL FLEX DMX RGBW Wash
The newest member of Chauvet’s “unplugged” WELL Series, the WELL FLEX RGBW wash fixture uses an internal lithium ion battery that powers four 10-watt Quad-Color LEDs. Astera LED Technology’s AsteraApp, available as a free download from the Google Play Store, can be installed on any Bluetooth-enabled Android device (optimized for Android phones and 7-inch tablets). Users should link their Android device to an AsteraBox to initiate control. Acting as the middleman, the AsteraBox receives commands from the app (using Bluetooth), and these commands are processed inside the AsteraBox then sent to all Astera lights within a 300m range.
