Antari S-100X and S-200X Snow Machines

With newly-developed PCB and new advanced pump, Antari’s S-100X and S-200X promise even greater reliability and the ability to generate 50 percent more snow output than their predecessors, the S-100II and S-200. They can create both snow and blizzard effects. The only difference between S-100X and S-200X (pictured here) is that the S-200X is the more “silent” version.

D4 LP Dimmer from City Theatrical

The new D4 LP Dimmer is a professional quality dimmer for LED tape designed to meet the needs of broadcast studios and other venues where fan noise could be a problem. The D4 LP has four channels of dimming (up to a total of 20A in the 120V version, with a maximum load of 8A on any dimmer) and a built-in fanless power supply.

Although ADJ has used COB technology in previous Dotz series fixtures (including the Lightning COB Cannon and the Dotz TPar System), the new Illusion Dotz 4.4 promises to bring the technology to a new visual level.

Blackmagic Design’s latest update for its Teranex 2D, 3D and Express converters, Teranex 3.1, adds a new software application that lets customers remotely set up and change settings on their Teranex converters from a central location, as well as adding a new 12G-SDI to quad HD-SDI conversions to Teranex Express.

ARRI has provide a new light engine, dubbed Light Engine 2, for its L7-C LED Fresnel. ARRI says the change makes the fixture 25 percent brighter. The fixture achieves its luminous output while consuming only 160 watts, and is tunable for color temperatures ranging from 2800K to 10000K. Other features include green/magenta correction, hue and saturation control and more.

OmniSistem Pyrofog Pro

OmniSistem has taken their widely popular DF-V6 Pyrofog and added 21 3W RGB LEDs to create a multicolored vertical pyro effect. This upgrade also comes with a new look – new housing and a strapped in 2.5L liquid reservoir. The Pyrofog Pro packs a punch with fog output at 20,000 cubic feet per minute. This fogger can be controlled via included wireless remote or DMX (8 Channels). Use multiple units to create a color chasing effect with fog – a great way to WOW your audience! OmniSistem recommends only using high quality, water based fog or haze liquid, such as OmniFog or OmniHaze, in the Pyrofog Pro. 

Phenom from Lightwave International

Lightwave International’s Phenom, introduced at LDI 2014, combines moving light fixture features with the crisp effects and vivid colors of a laser beam. The Phenom also promises intrinsic audience-scanning safety (at distances of more than 30 feet), DMX control, an integrated media server, full-color laser output and a speedy moving head.

Containing seven LEDs (4 in 1 RGBW), each rated at 20W, this is a larger version of the XLED 2007 and features a 6:1 zoom — one of many similar functions it shares with the company’s successful XLED 3019. And crucially, each LED is individually controllable.

HES HedgeHog4 Family Expands

High End Systems recently announced an expansion of their product offerings in their HedgeHog 4 family of products. There will now be one chassis allowing for four levels of features: HedgeHog 4, HedgeHog 4N, HedgeHog 4S and HedgeHog 4X. The idea is to offer users the ability to to buy the platform that is right for their current application, knowing that they will be able to unlock additional features if their needs expand without investing in new hardware.

Madrix says its Version 3.3 provides substantial improvements in all areas — from workflow, usability, and performance to a large number of enhanced or entirely new features. Highlights of the new version include two new Madrix Effects: SCE Clouds and SCE Noise. The product is now also available in more languages than ever, including Chinese.
