ESTA’s 2018 Plugfest Set for July 20-23 in Dallas/Fort Worth Area

WESTLAKE, TX – The ESTA Control Protocols Plugfest, the event where manufacturers and developers test their lighting products for network interoperability is scheduled to take place from July 20 to July 23 at the D/FW Marriott Solana in Westlake, Texas. Both ESTA and non-ESTA members are welcome to attend the 16th version of this event.

Robe is Hardwired for Metallica

HERNING, Denmark – Metallica is continuing with their multi-year WorldWired tour in support of their Nov. 2016 album release, Hardwired…to Self Destruct. The tour, which launched in Feb. 2016, has had 11 legs so far, and will return for a series of North American shows set to run from Sept. 2, 2018 to March 13, 2019. Dan Braun’s in-the-round production design includes LD Rob Koenig’s use of 72 Robe BMFL WashBeams from Premier Global Production.

Simply Three Perform in Phoenix Area Accompanied by Chauvet Professional Fixtures

MESA, AZ – Simply Three, a trio of classically trained musicians who perform compositions ranging from Bach and Vivaldi to Adele and Coldplay, brought their talents to the Mesa Arts Center in the Phoenix area March 8 and 9. Erik Parker of Chris Lisle Design used 46 Chauvet Professional fixtures, supplied by Creative Backstage, to enhance the group’s take on classical and popular music.

HSL Walks Between Worlds with Simple Minds

HSL is delighted to be on the road again as lighting suppliers with Scottish rockers Simple Minds and their long time lighting designer Stephen Pollard who has created another innovative look for the band’s acclaimed new “Walk Between Worlds” album.

Kelsea Ballerini Performs with Bandit Lites

NASHVILLE – For Kelsea Ballerini’s tour in support of her second album, Unapologetically, Sooner Routhier turned to Bandit Lites for a rig that includes Philips Showline SL Nitro 510-C, Elation ACL 360i, Robe Pointes and Color Kinetics Color Blaze 72 fixtures along with two grandMA2 Light consoles for control. Michelle Saintey serves as Board Op for the shows, and Andre Petrus helped program the looks.
