Ultra Music Festival Marks 20 Years, Buys Winter Music Conference

MIAMI – While marking 20 years, Ultra Music Festival once again drew six-figure crowds to Miami’s Bayfront Park with 175 of the top EDM and DJ acts in the world, performing on updated Main, Carl Cox and World stages March 23, 24 and 25. But 2018 also marked another milestone for the festival, which shares its brand with bass-heavy offshoots that now take place every year in more than 20 countries around the world. The festival’s owners purchased the Winter Music Conference (WMC), the venerable electronic music industry event from which Ultra sprang.

The Belonging Church in Nashville Celebrates Four Years with 4Wall-Supplied Chauvet Fixtures

NASHVILLE — Andy Rushing, LD for Grammy Award-winning worship music stars Lauren Daigle and Kari Jobe, is also a member of The Belonging, a church founded by Australian transplants (and Christian artists) Henry and Alex Seeley, who had been involved in Influencers Church and Planetshakers down under. For a two-hour celebration of The Belonging’s fourth birthday at the Tennessee Center For The Performing Arts, Rushing used 12 Rogue R2 Wash and 18 Strike 4 units from Chauvet Professional along with other fixtures supplied by 4Wall.

For years, inherently flame-retardant (IFR) fabrics were restricted to 20’ wide due to problems in manufacturing with the polyester fiber. Cycloramas and drops over 20’ high either needed unsightly seams or needed to be made from more flammable cotton, requiring frequent flame-proofing. This made the drops difficult to keep clean and limited their life-cycle. But no longer.
