Club XL Drawing Crowds with Big Acts Lit with Chauvet Professional Fixtures

HARRISBURG, PA — With its 20-by-35-foot stage, spacious dance floor and national acts like Puddle of Mudd, Club XL has been bringing a new level of nightclub entertainment to Harrisburg, PA since it opened in mid-April. A power-packed lighting design by Mike Chappell and Erik Morra of LumenCUE adds to the venue’s drawing power. The designers make use of a light rig supplied by Assorted Studios that includes Chauvet Professional Maverick and Rogue fixtures.

Kieran Healy’s Lighting Rig for “American Idol” Includes Ayrton Ghibli LED Spots

LOS ANGELES – After 15 seasons on FOX, American Idol moved to ABC this year. The rig from the show’s longtime LD, Kieran Healy, included 50 Ayrton Ghibli LED spot luminaires. The fixtures, sourced via A.C.T Lighting, offer designers a factory-equipped framing system. Most of the fixtures (45) are used for performance lighting; five keylight and backlight the judges.

Old Dominion’s “Happy Endings” Tour Rig Brightens with Elation Fixtures

NASHVILLE — Old Dominion’s Happy Endings world tour ran from Feb. 1-24 in North America before heading to the U.K. and Ireland and wrapping up with two dates in Australia in mid-March. The shows featured a lighting design by Travis Shirley that relied upon Elation Chorus Line 16 and Cuepix Blinder WW2 fixtures supplied by Nashville-based Morris.
