NFL Draft Experience Lit by Bandit Lites and C3 Presents

ARLINGTON, TX — All 50 states and 32 NFL teams turned out April 26-28 in Texas, where more than 215,000 fans registered for the free lottery to have the chance to attend the 83rd iteration of the NFL Draft, the highest number for any draft event in its history. Bandit Lites partnered with C3 Presents and supplied an extensive lighting package for related events that were part of the open-to-the-public NFL Draft Experience, held at the outdoor plazas of AT&T Stadium.

Burning Man Exhibit Opens at the Smithsonian Museum, Making Use of Donated Projector

WASHINGTON, DC – The Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Renwick Gallery is featuring large-scale artworks created originally for the Burning Man festival in Nevada. One of the six major pieces – an “art car” concept depicting a 1920s-era movie palace on wheels – is using a donated projector to run a reel of black and white retro-style movies.

Logic Systems Lights Godsmack, Others at Carolina Rebellion Festival

CONCORD, NC – Instead of NASCAR vehicles, a succession of hard-rocking headliners were raising the decibel levels at the Charlotte Motor Speedway from May 4-6 during the Carolina Rebellion music festival. The lineup included an eclectic mix ranging from Godsmack, Alice in Chains and Butcher Babies on the extreme end of the music spectrum, while also including alt-rock acts like Muse. To meet the needs of the bands and guest LDs, St. Louis-based Logic Systems provided an array of versatile fixtures on the festival’s four stages, including an ample assortment of Chauvet moving lights.

2018 Eurovision Song Contest Features Elaborate Lighting and Set Design

LISBON, Portugal – The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), staged at Lisbon’s Altice Arena May 8, 10 and 12, was the 63rd contest and a first in Portugal, with the total of 43 countries competing tying the record set in 2008 and 2011. The event, seen by a live audience of more than 12,000 and more than 200 million via TV and internet, featured a dramatic set and lighting design overseen by a crew that included technical directors Ola Melzig and Tobias Aburg, set designer Florian Wieder and lighting designer/director of photography Jerry Appelt.
