Squeek Lights and CHAUVET Bring Arena Vibe for Beartooth’s Club Dates

More than a few people sitting close to the stage during Beartooth’s recently concluded 40-city North American tour, felt they were in an arena once the band’s 75-minute show started, even though, in actuality, they were at one or two thousand capacity club. Caleb Shomo, the frontman and founder of the multi-award winning metal masters wouldn’t have had it any other way.

TMB and Main Light Team UP to Help One of our Own

The U-Park Festival in Kyiv, Ukraine July 2016 at the OlimpiyskiyNational Sports Complex (NSC) as tensions with Russia erupted. The festival featured many artists, including Muse, Hurts, Poets of the Fall, My Vitriol, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

As Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine continues, Zinteco Productions, a cornerstone in Ukraine’s entertainment production community for over 25 years, needs our help. The ongoing conflict has brought the Ukrainian entertainment industry, like all normal life, to a standstill, and Zinteco’s operations have been severely impacted. TMB has collaborated with Main Light LLC to make some of Zinteco’s Solaris Flare Q+ fixtures available to cross-rent in the U.S. market. 100% of the rental revenue generated will pass on to Zinteco, whose principals, good friends of TMB for many years, still live in Kyiv and whose time is now 100% devoted to supporting Ukrainian refugees and defense efforts.Read More »TMB and Main Light Team UP to Help One of our Own

Rainbow Lighting Invests in Astera

A beacon of positive energy and enthusiasm for life and lighting, appropriately named Cape Town based Rainbow Lighting was started by freelance Gaffer Desmond Gqitekaya in 2020. At the time, he was working mostly on major movies and feature films being shot in South Africa and was lucky enough to also start picking up commercials and music video work through his contacts, for which there was always a demand for thinking quickly and ‘out-of-the-box’ when it came to lighting. This soon led him to Astera.Read More »Rainbow Lighting Invests in Astera

The Design of SoundStorm MDLBEAST Festival supported by PRG

December’s rendition of the SoundStorm MDLBEAST festival in Riyadh continued to set standards for excellence in event design while also representing a groundbreaking cultural shift for Saudi Arabia. The entire festival spread out over a 5.5 km purpose-built site housing eight dynamic stages where more than 150 acts performed over three days for more than 450,000 visitors. The sheer scale of the event and the challenge of building in a desert epitomize the delicate interplay between creativity and logistics, necessitating a global team effort to orchestrate. At the heart of this symphony was Alex Reardon, the Creative Director and Lead Designer from Silent House, the design firm entrusted with shaping the festival’s visual identity. PRG played a pivotal role in supporting Reardon’s vision, providing rigging, video, lighting, audio, and automation for the festival’s centerpiece, the Big Beast stage.Read More »The Design of SoundStorm MDLBEAST Festival supported by PRG

Ivan Lavezzoli Creates Versatile Looks at Fuori Sanremo With CHAUVET Professional

Russell Crowe is known for his acting talents, but on Night 3 of The Sanremo Music Festival he took to the stage as a crooner and sang “Let Your Light Shine.” Another American, actor, John Travolta, also tried his hand at singing a couple of nights earlier. Such is the magical musical pull of this iconic five-day event, which began 74-years ago. Capturing the flavor of the festival up close was Radio Italia’s very popular “Fuori Sanremo,” a program that featured all of the artists from the festival with interviews and live performances recorded in a studio specially set up in this beautiful Mediterranean costal city’s Grand Hotel Londra. Lighting designer Ivan Lavezzoli created an elegantly engaging atmosphere for “Fuori Sanremo,” with a setup that featured CHAUVET Professional fixtures distributed by Zalight.

Valentin Pariat Helps Chamonix World Cup Shine with A+ Events and CHAUVET Professional

Those who stayed for the entire three-days of the event got to savor the breathtaking scenery of this resort, located at the base of Mont Blanc, the highest summit in the Alps. Another thing that generated excitement and raised spirits at this famed resort (the first Winter Olympics took place here in 1924), was the vivid and colorful lighting design throughout the space by Valentin Pariat. Joe Beardsmore Flows on Tom Odell’s ‘Black Friday Tour’ with CHAUVET & Colour Sound Experiment

The deepest emotions tend to live in that area between light and darkness, where nebulous boundaries give them endless space to expand and shrink, twist and turn in infinite directions. By devising such a space on stage for Tom Odell’s Black Friday Tour, Joe Beardsmore created the ideal visual setting for music that one critic aptly described as “a raw emotional masterpiece.” Busking his show on a ChamSys MagicQ 250M Stadium console, Beardsmore of Phosphor, moved seamlessly in sync with the Brit Award winning singer-songwriter and his seven-piece band, blending shadows and brightness, silhouettes, and distinctive light angles to underscore the heartfelt narrative of this roughly 90-minute show.
