Robe Dreams with Crowded House

Crowded House are among Australia and New Zealand’s most iconic, popular, and successful bands, with a string of melodic hits like “Better Be Home Soon”, “Don’t Dream It’s Over”, “Something So Strong” and others, some stretching back to the 1980’s, all still infectiously foot tapping in 2022 when they hit the road again after re-forming in late 2019.Read More »Robe Dreams with Crowded House

Ayrton Bora and NandoBeam S6 Tell a ‘West Side Story’

Staged for the first time at the Cagliari Lyric Theatre in Sardinia, Arthur Laurents’ two-act stage musical West Side Story, with music by Leonard Bernstein and loosely based on William Shakespeare’s tragedy Romeo and Juliet, was a guaranteed success. The staging offered by the Cagliari Lyric Theater was derived from three major U.S. musical institutions: the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Houston Grand Opera, and the Glimmerglass Festival in New York. The performance, which blends the language of traditional opera with that of the musical, took place from 15th – 23rd December, bringing to a close the 2022 opera season with 10 highly anticipated English-language performances.Read More »Ayrton Bora and NandoBeam S6 Tell a ‘West Side Story’

“When I make my music, I want people to feel good, I can really feel that when they sing the lyrics back to me,” house heavyweight Sonny Fodera told an interviewer from Forbes earlier this year. The Australian-born star must have had no doubt that his music was having the desired elixir effect on his audience recently, when he performed two sold-out shows at O2 Academy Brixton. Throughout both shows, the walls of the iconic concert venue reverberated with fans responding to the highly emotive songs from his recently released fifth album “Wide Awake,” and other recordings.Read More »BIGABOX Calls on CHAUVET Professional to Support Sonny Fodera at O2 Academy Brixton

Mike Grabowski was thrilled with his experience designing the multiple stages under his purview for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest in Times Square this year, except for one thing. His single regret didn’t involve the rain that fell for much of the evening, either. After all, the “unpredictability of nature,” comes with the territory when lighting outdoor events, said The Lighting Design Group’s senior designer. Plus, given that most of his rig was IP65 rated, he had little to worry about regarding the showers. (He and the team have seen a lot of challenging weather, being at Times Square on NYE, for over a decade of these shows.)Read More »CHAUVET Professional Creates NYE Magic for Mike Grabowski and The Lighting Design Group
