Justin Munana’s Dynamic Performance Environment Design for Chris Brown ’11:11 Tour’ Features Elation

Justin Munana, aka Collie, of design house Nimblist employed 138 Elation ARTISTE MONET LED framing profile luminaires for Chris Brown’s recently concluded ’11:11 Tour’. The fixtures ensured a consistent wash over the entire set, contributing to the elaborate and visually striking production. Fuse Technical Group provided lighting and video.

Claypaky Xtylos Shine on Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘The Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour’

Jonny “Tosser” Tosserello, Lighting Designer/Director for Lynyrd Skynyrd, is continuing his long-time use of Claypaky Xtylos for ‘The Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour’ with ZZ Top co-headlining. Lynyrd Skynyrd, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, kicked off the North American leg, with ZZ Top, in July with lighting support from Premier Global Production.

Fanta Fest Fires Up Fans with Hippotizer

Türkiye’s Gen Z-oriented Fanta Fest returned for 2024 to visit seven of the country’s biggest cities, with five large LED screens displaying more than 43 million pixels of performer-specific content, all driven by a Hippotizer Boreal+ MK2 Media Server. Video Designer and Programmer Gürkan Çalışkan worked with Fanta Fest’s Technical Director Can Besbelli to deliver strikingly different visual content.

Carlos Katsurayama and CHAUVET Professional Rock on The Struts ‘Pretty Vicious’ Tour

The Struts’ just-concluded U.S. leg of their ‘Pretty Vicious’ tour featured a design by Lighting Designer Carlos Katsurayama, who transformed the stage with a shifting variety of dramatic looks that wrapped themselves tightly around the mood of the music. Helping him create this evocative canvas was a rig supplied by LIT Lighting that featured CHAUVET Professional fixtures.

Regional Winners Announced for Lighting Hometown Heroes

PLSN is pleased to announce the Regional Winners of the Lighting Hometown Heroes. All six regional winners are now the finalists for the Parnelli Hometown Hero – Lighting Company of the Year Award. The six top regional lighting companies in North America—one for each of five U.S. regions, and a sixth for all of Canada were voted on by the industry as they narrowed the field from 36 to the six regional winners.

The six regional winners will appear on the Parnelli Awards ballot as finalist when the ballot goes live Oct. 28, 2024 for the 23rd Parnelli Awards voting. Perfecson Supplies Ayrton and Robert Juliat Lighting and grandMA3 Console to Salle Odyssée

Salle Odyssée, the cultural performance theater at the Maison de la Culture complex in Gatineau, Québec, has installed a range of Ayrton and Robert Juliat lighting fixtures and a new grandMA3 console provided by Perfecson. Salle Odyssée daily hosts a variety of shows, including music and standup comedy. The new equipment is part of a CAD$5 million project, for a state-of-the-art upgrade of the theater.
