District 5 Colorizes The Band Camino’s Screaming in the Dark Tour with CHAUVET Professional

Color has always been “a huge part of our design process,” Dayne deHaven says of the work that he and his collaborator at the District 5 design studio, Tyler Shapard, have been doing for The Band Camino. Fans of the red-hot rock-pop trio would readily agree; the band’s music is so evocative, that each song calls out for its own distinct color signature. Ironically, though, on the band’s recently concluded 25-date tour, the show begins in virtual darkness, as eerie electronic sounds resonate over a blacked-out stage. Spain’s Medusa festival offers a sizzling DJ line up from all around the world embracing a lively mix of dance genres in a fantastic seaside location at Cullera beach in Valencia by the mouth of the Jucar River. The 2023 event was enjoyed by over 250,000 people across 6 days of sun, smiles, and superlative music. This year’s main stage production and lighting design by Eduardo Valverde and a team from his design studio Experiencias Visuales (EV) included 72 MegaPointes and 12 BMFL WashBeams. Lighting for the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site – Cameo illuminates the Blower Hall at Völklingen Ironworks

Around 100 years ago, the gigantic blower engines at Völklingen Ironworks pumped compressed air into the ironworks’ blast furnaces. Today, the flywheels rising from the ground are illuminated by spotlights and serve as a fascinating backdrop for exhibitions and other events lasting several months. In 1994, Völklingen Ironworks was added to the UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage Sites and, with its numerous halls and open spaces, has developed into a European center for art and industrial culture.
