Believers Church Youth Room Supports Music with Chauvet Professional

WARREN, OH – Music is important to the mission of Believers Church. The 2,100-member non-denominational house of worship in northeastern Ohio even has its own bands and combos, including the aptly named “BC Band.” It also welcomes an impressive array of guest performers to its services and events. Goliath Lighting provided a collection of Chauvet Professional Rogue and Ovation fixtures to give the church’s newly remodeled Youth Room a live venue vibe.

90 Robe Pointes in Design for Spectacular SKALAR show

BERLIN — Skalar is a 45-by-20-by-10-meter light and sound installation created by light artist Christopher Bauder and musician / composer Kangding Ray as part of the CTM Festival 2018. The artwork opened Jan. 27 and runs through Feb. 25 within Berlin’s Kraftwerk venue, a former power station and communal heating plant in Berlin’s Mitte district.

The MSC Meraviglia is a new-generation mega-ship built by STX France at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, the 5,700-passenger capacity cruiser is outfitted with the latest in cutting-edge technology, including a large energy-efficient Elation Professional LED lighting package used in the ship’s entertainment and relaxation areas.

Trumpet Awards Shine with Bandit Lites

The 2018 Bounce Trumpet Awards were held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre with a lighting package supplied by Bandit Lites. The annual event honors African-American contributions and achievements and will air on television exclusively on Bounce, Sunday, February 11 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Parnelli Awards Winners Announced at 17th Annual Gala

ANAHEIM, CA — The 17th annual Parnelli Awards gala, held Friday, Jan. 26 at the Anaheim Hilton during NAMM 2018, honored Bobby “Boomer” Thrasher, Jonathan Smeeton and John Stadius with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Visionary Award and Audio Innovator Award, respectively. One of Boomer’s clients, Billy Joel, sent in a video tribute to his longtime production manager. “There’s nothing he can’t do,” Joel said, noting how Thrasher had assisted with everything from fixing Joel’s bikes, boats and cars to handling the surgery for his hip replacements and delivering his baby daughter.

Entering the BangON NYC party at Brooklyn’s East Williamsburg Warehouse on December 31 instantly conjured up feelings of journeying deep into our solar system.  Hanging from the ceiling, as if floating through the vastness of space, were very large, colorful planetary orbs.

MDG Dares with The Hunna

Formed only in 2015, The Hunna is 4-piece English rock band whose career is sky-rocketing. Their debut album, 100, was released in August 2016, and is soon to be followed by their second album, Dare, in May 2018.  The hard-working band kicked off 2018 by performing six back-to-back gigs in UK O2 academies in early January in support of the new album.

4Wall Provides 400+ Fixtures for ‘Enchanted: Forest of Lights’ at Descanso Gardens near L.A.

LOS ANGELES – For Enchanted: Forest of Light, an interactive, nighttime walking tour experience created by visual design firm Lightswitch for Descanso Gardens, a 150-acre botanical garden attraction in Los Angeles County’s La Cañada Flintridge area, 4Wall provided more than 400 light fixtures, including Chauvet Colorado 1 Solos, Colorado 2 Quad Zooms, Elation Proteus Hybrids, Elation SixPAR Z19s, Elation SixBar 1000s and Martin MAC Aura XBs.
