Matt Mills, Other Designers Making Use of Follow-Me Remote System for Followspot Control

ORLANDO — Matt Mills, a partner and lighting designer with Touch Light & Media, Inc., is among the growing number of LDs now using the Follow-Me remote followspot control system. Mills first used it for Disturbed’s tour last year and appreciates how it frees him of the need to rely on house followspots for gigs that range from tours to corporate events. Other LDs have used it as well, including Chris Lisle for Jason Aldean (pictured here).

Blizzard Lighting Lands LightShark U.S. Distribution

WAUKESHA, WI – Blizzard Lighting announced that it will be distributing LightShark consoles. The consoles, from Spain-based Equipson/WorkPro, allow for wireless and platform-independent DMX-based lighting control from virtually any device with a web browser. Options include the LightShark LS-1 Console, with both software and hardware; and LS-Core, a software-only setup. Both offer two physical DMX outputs plus ArtNet/sACN for eight total universes of control.

L70 is a common rating system used throughout the LED fixture industry.
